Sweet things people did on Valentine's Day

enough of this crap. we need at least one thread which celebrates V-day. i believe that you do not need a Hallmark imposed holiday to show someone you love them. loving your lover should happen every day. flowers, kisses, n' stuff happen year round.

BUT, i see V-day as a day you can do something extra sweet. something creative and out of the ordinary. make a damn good memory. i make it a point to top my last Valentine's Day each year - providing i have a valentine (which isn't the case this year.)

so post a story. names, no names. throw ideas around. maybe you'll give someone else a creative idea. try the keep this thread briming with love juice (ok, maybe not love 'juice')

i'll start it off. one valentine's day i made my girlfriend a CD. i found every song about Angels i could find (there's a lot.)

i wrote her a poem, about a page long. through the whole poem the first letter out of every word had to spell out L-O-V-E repeatedly. it's harder than it sounds, 'cause it's got to make sense too.

got the standard roses, but i bought three dozen. i sent them to where she worked. one dozen was sent every two hours. she had a good day.

top it...but be careful because that was only one V-day story.

My first date (sorta) with Thunderlips (Dave) was on Valentine's Day. I had just told my last boyfriend we needed to take a break on 2/12. Dave and I were good buds and had bitched to each other how we didn't have a "date" on Valnetine's Day. The night before V-day (a Friday) I dropped hints like crazy that I had no one to hang with either. He didn't pick up on it (dumb boys!) so I went home. On the train I saw lots of people with bouquets of flowers, balloons, etc.. so I figured, "WHAT the F??" I called him and left a message asking if he wanted to see a movie!

Otherwise... I'd STILL be single!

ive never had a girlfriend on valentines day before. but this year im doing something that i think will be pretty sweet for my special someone. Im a photographer of sorts, i was headed towards making it my profession, but somewhere along the line i was disillusioned, anyway, i have a photograph of a man standing outside an armani exchange window that had the words I LOVE YOU printed on the glass. shes always said shes loved it, so im headed to the photo lab sometime soon to make her a print. ill have it matted and framed when she gets home from school next weekend

MANdrew, nice. That reminds me of a time when a girlfriend of mine wanted me to draw her a wolf. We broke up after 5 years. A couple of months after we broke up, I drew her this huge wolf in the forest. It was cool.

My girlfriend at the time covered our couch in saran wrap and poured vegtable oil on it and we got slippin and sliding, that was a great valentines days.

One time I was dating this girl who really loved horses.

I wanted to get her a horse so bad for Valentine's day, but alas I spent the last of my money of crack and hookers... so I was left with the only choice imaginable.

I went to a horse stable down the street from me and I chopped off her favorite horse's head.

I ran to her house dripped blood from the doorway to her bedroom...

When she got home, there I was in her bedroom holding the horse's head while I was standing naked... I wrote the words I Love You in horse blood on her white walls.

We broke up shortly... I think it was because I was naked and she wasn't ready for that.

...so anyway, last Valentines-Day my sister was into this guy, big time - although I didn't see that much in him myself.

They were going out for like three months, when suddenly, the guy breaks up with her a week before Valentines. Apparently for another girl; someone who "puts out."

So my sister is like crying to me about this. She said to me, "All I wanted was his heart, that's all." I knew what I had to do.

I went upstairs and took a fork from the kitchen drawer. I went to the guys house and broke in through the side window. I croutched in the corner of his room for two hours. He finally came home, and walked into the room. I jumped him, and started to stab him repeatedly in the chest.

About 10 minutes later I went home, and called for my sister. She looked at me; she was still sad. I told her that I had something for her. I took out what was behind my back. It was his heart. She took it in her hands and said, "Oh thank you Jason! Oh, it's still warm! You're the best brother ever!"

Nothing like family.
...and the ribs are a bitch to get through.
