You're right. The cuts are so quick you can't tell, but at 3:45, you can see where the matte lines are for the superimposing.

The lion was obviously fake; mainly because they got the scale wrong, and you can see the green screen lines.

Kimmel always does something big post-oscars. Given that this was just a bunch of celebs in workout gear, even with the effects, it's nowhere nearly as an expensive a production number as "I'm Fucking Ben Affleck."
