I got one of these for Liz for Christmas, and in a word, it's AWESOME.

It's basically a super-fancy George Foreman grill. The plates are double-sided, with a grill on one side and a flat on the other side.

The first thing I tried to make on it was a grilled cheese, and it wasn't that great; pushed down on the press too hard and it was too soft a bread.

We tried it again tonight with Trader Joe's Tuscan Pane bread and it turned out terrific. Little provolone, some salami, olive oil... and it just grilled up restaurant quality.

Does anyone else have one of these badboys?

I think foreman now makes one just like that with the 2 side grills. I wanted one of these to make panini's

Since I've been with Liz, we've gone through three foremans, and NONE of them have made something with the quality this produced.

Plus foremans are a bitch to clean and re-attach the plates.

For 100 bucks, the build quality can't be beat

Dude!

I got the same one. Its great! Try soaking potato slices in olive oil and seasoning and then roasting it on that. Comes out great! I also grill zucchini and carrots the same way. I usually grill chicken on it too.

So did you finally get it?

I actually saw an infomercial on the Griddler... it was your typical cheese infomercial but I wanted to buy the griddler again after seeing it.
