Here's why I'm fucking pissed off this morning: my fucking, assfucked ISP.

So for the past few weeks, I've been having massive problems with my cable modem. It connects intermittently, it'll be on a while then go off and come back on, with no intervention from me. So it's obviously something on their end. I called about it a few times, and was told at first that it was a problem they were aware of and were working on, then they tried "resetting my modem" and that worked a while and stopped working again.

So they agreed to send someone out. So on Friday, I was all set for them to come over -- then I found out they lost the fucking "work order" and would not be able to come, and would need to reschedule for Saturday. This pissed me off, but I agreed. They told me they'd be here 11 am to 2 pm.

So Saturday comes. At around 1:50 PM, I get a call saying they'll be late. The appointment that was supposed to be no later than 2 actually begins at 4:30 PM.

Guy comes in, replaces my modem, checks out the wall jack and does some re-wiring there, and tells me that now, on his meters, everything looks perfect. So I hook back up the router, and try to get on...nothing. Everything looks connected, but I can't get online.

The cable guy calls in to dispatch. He is told that the system required to activate the new modem for my account is down, and until that can be done, I can't actually get onto the Internet. I am told that someone at the central office will keep trying, and it should be OK by 9. If not, call tech support.

Fine. At this point, the cable guy has been at my house nearly 2 hours, it's almost 7 PM, my day has been shot to fucking shit, so I agree. 9 comes and go, nothing's working, and at around 9:30, I call tech support telling them I need my modem activated.

Except that now, they can't connect to my modem. Despite what the last cable guy told me about everything looking fine, it can't connect. So they're going to send someone out again today. And, no, they can't tell me exactly when.

Fuck them. The incompetence, top to bottom, is just stunning. If they think I'm paying for this shit for this month, they can fucking suck it.

Cable guy just got out here and everything's working now and checks out. I'm very proud of how calm and collected I stayed with him.

I'm gonna see if I can get through to the CEO of my ISP; it's a small enough company that I might be able to do that, or at least get to their Executive Relations department. I'm glad this is fixed, though; Time Warner is buying out my ISP, so I think things are really about to go to shit.

I just looked and found that a bank deposit that I made on the 27th has never been credited to my account. After calling the bank and looking at my receipt (so glad I kept up with it) my money was put in someone elses account.

The person I was talking to started giving me a lecture about how I should pay more attention to my receipts when using the drive through.

Viacom and Directv have hit a stand still on a new contract and now Im missing like 20 fucking channels and the worst part is that they have rerouted the channels that are missing to some shit channel that fucking is not working correctly. My receiver is bogged down and cant operate correctly.

AND... I am having a water leak in my floor of the laundry room. Coiencidence? Or is it my old ass H2O heater deciding to throw me off the trail and finally start leaking?

sounds like the switch that gets pushed when you close the lid is bad, mine did the same thing a month ago. You can change it yourself, I did and I know shit all about fixing stuff, it cost me about 50 for the switch. Try pushing it down and releasing the switch with a screw driver, if you don't hear an audible click it's definately bad, and might be bad even if you do. That switch is a safety feature that makes sure the door isn't open when it does a spin cycle, if some dumb shit stuck their hand into a spin cycle it could really fuck them up.
