Figured i would post a few movies that most probably haven't heard of but, are definately worth watching. Some of the trailers didn't have english subs so sorry about that but, if you look on youtube you can usually find the entire movie with subs. Lots of fighting with bats and kicking. Or, ask me and i can find it for you.

Breathless(south korean film)

width=500 height=128

Fucking great. Depressing movie about the cycle of domestic violence.

Gangster high

width=500 height=128

Awesome highschool beat down movie. Couldn't find a eng sub trailer but you can find eng sub movie on youtube. worth watching.

Chingoo(friend)

width=500 height=128

A dirty carnival

width=500 height=128

decent gangster type movie

between love and hate

width=500 height=128

Again, not as light hearted as the trailer. Great performance by the lead actress, who plays a crazy bargirl/whore.

bandhobi

width=500 height=128

Interesting south korean movie, thats not as light as the trailer music leads you to believe. Also, tackles the usually ignored issue of race relations in a very homogenous society. Thought it was really good except a little preachy. Worth watching

Not much dialogue in the movie (in a good way) but it tells a really interesting story.

It's a Thai film but everyone should see it: Tears of the Black Tiger.

A Thai Spaghetti Western shot in what looks like technicolor and basically tells the story of Romeo and Juliet. A lot of fun. Keep in mind it was made in 2000 - it doesn't appear so modern.

EDIT: It's available on Netflix Instant.

Bridge Over the River Kwai.

I think you meant "The Bridges at Toko-Ri".

Oldboy may have been the best movie based off of a Japanese comic made by Koreans. I remember around thrsame time two other movies.

Three Extremes (The part the director of Old Boy made and Dumplings, which is Chinese, are awesome)

That movie about the guy who thinks he is n alien is pretty good, too.

If they're really any good, I'll just wait for the American remakes to come out.
