yes and I cant stand that they do this. They even shrink the size of the video to not fully fit the size of our tvs. So if you are watching on a 42" plasma its like you are really watching a 27" tube tv. The shaky cam and clarity of the video is terrible!

I cant believe this show continues to grow and grow. I watch it because I lived that lifestyle at 1 time down in Seaside/Ortley. But the more I watch it the more I cant stand them. It kind of makes me look at myself a little and how fucked up we were in the 90s /early 2000s!

These fuckers should use this and run with this as long as they can. Make that money and do everything that is offered for money because once this is finally over I see a bog crash and almost a reverse effect of hate towards them!

Uggghhh...it was very boring to me.

My girl watches the show, so she asked me to watch it with her. I said "yes" and I've been watching all of Season 3 so far. I don't lie to her, it's not a great show. The only good time I'm having while watching it is spending time with her before and after, and the fact that she doesn't mind making fun of it as we watch it a little.

I just about upchucked last night when he was outside the door that Vinny and that skeezer they bought home were in. He's out there going "The Situation needs to get situated." What is that supposed to mean you dipshit? Just say you're looking to get laid by this bar rag you brought home.

I have actually watched most of the seasons and I am bored to tears with these first 2 episodes. Without the snookie punch and ronnie throwing bows in season 1. Then Ronnie being awesome for the beginning of season 2 getting drunk as fuck every night.

The only reason I know about the winter trash is, every summer we would get a shore house. You had to start looking right after New Years in order to get the best price on the best house and to make sure you could get the entire summer. So we would usually make appt with an owner and meet them at the house we were interested in. Every so often there would be people living in those houses. One time I asked the owner why people lived there in the winter and why they seemed so trashy and would they be out for Memorial Day weekend? The guy told me that a lot of house down the shore that the owners only use as summer rentals were rented to welfare people in the winter and paid by the govt. I couldnt believe it. He said they didnt get much from the govt but it was better then nothing, there were guarantees in the contract that the govt would be responsible for damage if the trash damaged the houses and having someone living there and paying would also make it easier for the owner since someone could contact them if there were pipe problems or floods from the ocean/bay etc. Instead of the owner having to drive down to check often he would only have to go when he got a call.

They moved around. So they would get the houses from after labor day to before labor day and then many of them seemed to all move into house/apt together. It was very weird but very trashy! Many of them only received the govt aid during the off season. Then when summer came they had available work at hotels, boardwalk, food places etc.

This was my 1st Jersey Shore season I ever watched. I just wanted to echo the sentiments of just about everyone in this thread. The Ronnie-Sam fighting was ridiculous and very tiring after awhile.

Whichever one you might have thought was right or wrong I think both sides can agree that by the end, we were all just tired of it. It REALLY over shadowed everything else in the house. Every episode was about their stupid relationship for the lion's share of the time.

They're miserable together and miserable apart. They make everyone around them miserable. Their stupid arguments really bled into every aspect of the fucking show, killing a lot of fun.

I haven't see the 1st or 2nd season but I was under the impression the show was supposed to be about tanned, kinda dopey people having humorous little interactions. Nothing too heavy or serious. Maybe I was wrong in my perception of what the show should be, but I know that the best things from season 3 were the little jokes and stuff the room mates did. The practical jokes were usually funny. The club antics were amusing. Sure, there's gonna be fights, but not the SAME fight every episode.

The first season was different, nobody knew what to expect from a show about kids at the jersey shore. People were excited for it, there is a 126 page thread about season one here it was started months before the show aired. Snooki geting punched, them meeting and interacting with each other for the first time, The Situation's douchey ab move and all the other stupid things about them.

It's a little different with season 2 and 3 and eventually 4. I think there are some spinoff shows that are coming out of this but the first season was the best.

We'll soon find out as the cast of the MTV show heads to Florence, Italy, where the mayor has given the show a list of strict rules to follow during their stay to film season 4.

According to the New York Post, the mayor of Florence, Matteo Renzi, listed several rules in the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera for the 'Jersey Shore' cast to follow.

Renzi's rules are pretty strict -- at least by MTV standards -- and they include:

► The cast will not be filmed in bars and clubs that serve alcohol.

► The cast will not be filmed drinking in public.

► The show will not be filmed to promote Florence as a drinking town.

► The show should be filmed in a manner to promote Italy (not Americans visiting Italy) and feature its culture and good food.

Additionally, the cast will not be permitted to film inside of any historic buildings, though Renzi said he could not stop them from using Florence scenery as a backdrop for the show.

Renzi's rules come after some Italians expressed outrage that the MTV show would be filming in their country.

The ingredients for an entertaining 'Jersey Shore' episode include copious amounts of alcohol, solid house music and some guidos/guidettes. Take away the booze and the clubs and we're left with Snooki, The Situation and their friends soberly touring the Italian countryside.
