I've tried to introduce countless people that i think have a good sense of humor to the show and i'm sure you guys have as well. My question is..how would you describe it to someone who's never heard it cause this show, i feel, is very unique but so many people are afraid of what they don't know so i try to relate it to some other type of radio show or podcast but haven't found one that really fits. Also, with fez getting worse, i try not to mention that they might hear a 50 yr old queen crying everyday.

I would think a fifty year old queen crying everyday would entice someone to listen...after all, that is why I listen.

It is the best of shows, it is the worst of shows, it is the age of wisdom, it is the age of foolishness, it is the epoch of belief, it is the epoch of incredulity, it is the season of Light, it is the season of Darkness, it is the spring of hope, it is the winter of despair, they have everything before them, they have nothing before them, they are all going direct to heaven, they are all going direct the other way.

I introduced a friend to it through a three month Audible gift. He loved Ron and Fez but found Dave to be insufferable. Go figure. I do think that was around the time that Dave was talking heavily about his hatred for Milk and was asking people to buy stuff for him on Amazon, which he found to be less than classy.

I still think the show is good, but I am not certain if Fez wants to do with the show. The show needs more fulltime staff members (whether Fez is healthy or not ).

Satellite is still the most backwater hose-fest I've seen.
You are paying to listen to commercials.

Sorry to cop out on the topic. But I would not try to describe it. And would say you have to listen to it.

How would someone who's listened to the show for > 10 years describe the show in 2000, 2001, 2002 to someone who's only heard the show for the last few years...

It's a carnival. Just take a walk down the midway and try your luck at the ring toss. Maybe win a cupie doll. Get the blue cotton candy, it tastes better.

You pays your money and you takes your chances!

by 'via stockholm syndrome', you mean you convince the young girls you keep locked in your basement to listen to the show by using your power of persuasion that you get from their Stockholm Syndrome feelings toward you?

"Hard hitting investigative journalism at it's finest. Topical, always on point and rapidfire discussions of the events that shape today's World !!"

Then I like people's reaction about a week later when they ask me if we are speaking of the same show.

My fear about the show is that a lot of the audience left, outside this board, are truckers who listen to hear the faggot cry. "Hey Merle, listen to that homo blubberin'!"

You have a point. A lot of the callers, especially the more hayseedy ones, love to say, "Hey Fez, why he hell all of that crying and whatnot? You get paid big bucks and all you have to do is show up and sit there in the studio"

I can imagine the conversation. "Hey Merle, that fag is crying again. There he is in New York city with more money than he knows what to do with and he still isn't happy. People like us got to work for a living..."
