Anyone else playing? I enjoyed Fable II, and this plays pretty similarly. I played through on a "good" character, and was surprised to see several areas on the map that I cannot get to.

Also, the mini maps are horribly inaccurate. But it's still about as original as a fantasy RPG can get these days.

One thing that I found myself laughing at were Reaver's underhanded descriptions of the various civic projects during the cut scenes that followed me voting against his proposals.

Finished once but did not get to transfer the money from my personal account to the treasure before the end so I am starting a new game. I like II better but this was a good game too.

Yeah, they kinda sneak the end in there. I was able to open the ledger right as the final sequence started and transfered all the money in. What happened when you didn't have the money?

I'm still trying to figure out how to get to these mystery spots on the map. There is one on the coast south of Silverpine, and then a gigantic house just appeared north of the fancy lake district. Because the minimaps are so innacurate, I can't figure out how to get to these places.

That place sounds wonderful.

There were very, very few people left.

That's Driftwood. You have to pay to have the bridge built in Millifields, then come back after some time has passed and you can cross and go to the new area, which has some new quests. There is a similar mechanic in Driftwood too, do a quest and wait and the town will build itself up more and give you more quests/property options.

Mercifully I watched the Zero Punctuation review on Fable 3 and learned how early the game actually stops, so I can be prepared. Although as he points out it doesn't seem to matter how many people dont survive at the end.

Yeah, I had figured that out shortly after I posted this. The house I was talking about was the ghost house. I found that too, as you are going from the graveyard into the wooden trenches, the path is to the left.

I found that by accident while my little quest stars weren't working.

This was 10 months ago. You might as well be asking me what happened during the Wang Diang Dynasty.

I recomended it, so I should pipe up.

Ok, so there are lots of things to do in the game. Some of it is adventure type stuff like missions people give you, some of it is related to the plot of the whole game, and some of it is just open world stuff like buying property and charging rent to earn money. There is a morality thing so you can go good or evil and typically its best to go as good as you can, or as evil as you can when you have the option.

Do as much of the side stuff as you can before doing the missions that advance the plot.

Buy as much property as you can and rent it out. It's the best way to earn money, and eventually money is important. Keep your buildings in good repair.

Take advantage of surplus/demand in the stores. Buy stuff like clothes, gems or trade goods when there is a surplus and then find a store that has a demand for it to sell at a profit.

The game eventually gets on a timeline where there is a countdown, 365 days until X day, 300 days until X day etc. It's important to know that it doesn't wind down to 1 day until X day, it jumps like 6 months in the last portion so you need to be prepared.

Gamefaqs.com can help you if you get stuck.
