It's just the two of us. I'm making smaller portions of:

Turkey breast with gravy
Stuffing
Cranberry sauce
Green bean casserole (in individual ramekins)
Mashed sweet taters
Broccoli in cheese sauce

Pumpkin pie with whipped cream

I'm debating on making curried pumpkin soup.

I cook for turkey day every year and I always mix it up a tad

So far its a black bean pumpkin soup for starters
My Moms salad, its amazingly good
A sweet potato b-nut squash dish
A roasted corn dish
The standard garlic mashed
homemade stuffing/dressing since it doesn't go in the bird
Th is year I am going to follow Cooks Country Kitchen's salted pork recipe for the turkey

Theres more I just cant think of it right now.

Chilly and homemade rolls. Our traditional aps are spinach dip and pigs in a blanket.

I also have a turkey on hand that may get made on Wednesday for a cold turkey sandwich option the day of. But it may wait for the weekend.

I also might make a key lime cheesecake, which would be kindof an inside joke.

First, indulge in the Thayer’s incredible Thanksgiving Day buffet with a traditional turkey dinner complete with all the trimmings. The special Thanksgiving menu will include delicious appetizers like mushroom bisque soup, tomato bocconcini salad, pasta salad, chilled ratatouille, asparagus vinaigrette, and tossed greens.

For the main course, visit the carving station for piping hot roasted turkey and roast prime rib herb au jus. Other entrees include broiled salmon with sundried tomatoes, baked smoked pork loin in an apple brandy glaze, and baked stuffed shells.

The Thanksgiving buffet will also offer a large array of seasonable vegetables including yellow squash, turnips, carrots, green beans, plus sage stuffing and mashed potatoes.
The dessert table promises delicacies to please every palate including pumpkin pie, carrot cake, éclairs, cream puffs, cheesecake and chocolate mousse.

Whatever my mom is making.

Me too.

As long as I have her stuffing and sweet potatoes, I'm happy.

That sounded weird.

^This. I don't normally go home for Thanksgiving, but I am this year cause of my grandma's iffy health. Can't wait to wake up to the smell of turkey and such. Mmmmmmm.....

I'm going to dry brine the turkey this year and grill it (if it doesn't rain)
