I saw the commercials for this while I was watching L&O-UK.

I started watching it the other day and it's not bad.

Stars Idris Elba ( Stringer Bell from The Wire ) as a detective in England ( London I'd guess ).

It's a 6 part miniseries but while each episode ties back to the 1st one ( mainly around a girl that killed her parents and is Hannibal Lechter like in avoiding being charged w/ the crime; very much like a Nichole Wallace thing from L&O:CI ) their main plots are somewhat stand alone and do not relate to the pilot.

It's worth a watch if you're looking for something.

The premiers are on BBC America on Sunday night's @ 10.

They've gone through 5 so this Sunday's should be the finale.

I'm sure they'll bring it back again though w/ new episodes.

I watched the first 20 minutes back when it premiered in the UK. It just seemed like a regular procedural, and the characters didn't appeal to me in the least.

It was a little ordinary/run of the mill for a while but it picks up.

The 5th episode was the best by far. Had some decent twists and some good character turns.

The 2nd one was good as well because it dealt w/ a guy killing cops. It was interesting because you had this guy gunning them down w/o a thought and they were limited in their response due to the fact that they are unarmed.

Some of the stuff w/ the ex-wife is a little bit of a drag but the rest of the show picks that up.

When did it air in the UK originally ?

I despise BBC America for airing the previews for the next week's episode before the end of the episode that's airing. The big twist at the end of episode 5 was ruined for me because I stopped fast forwarding my DVR when I thought the show was back on only to be looking at a massive spoiler and spending the next 10 minutes knowing what was about to happen.

I still think that that episode and the series as a whole is brilliant.

Yeah the preview after episode 4 showed you the heel turn in episode 5. I had no idea how involved it would get though.

I read that in the UK the ratings got lower with each episode and the 5th one, had the lowest of all. Funny that probably the best episode ( so far ) got the worst ratings.

I didn't see previews for the final episode after the last one so I'm going in fresh.

I also read that they are producing 2 more 2 hour shows to be released in 2011.
