THey've always had an obvious handoff of the position:
al/staples-> rory-> harry t-> wonderboy-> jdubs-> giant brian
earl/esd-> hicks

With the show being so small now, there isn't anyone to take over after hicks. But they;ve been inviting zito into the show more frequently.

It may happen. Zito is actually okay. I don't love him on the show, but he is quirky enough to pass off as a third-mic.

I dont like the guy. He actually reminds me of some of the long island douches I went to HS with. HOWEVER, he does stand up to fez which I appreciate. I'm quite sick of fez's crazy hipocracy. I got so mad at Fez for shitting on hicks. I have no idea what happens in the offices after the show, but on air its pretty evident that Fez isn't pulling his weight and leaving hicks to do all the work. At this point Fez is just collecting checks and the nerve of him to shit on hicks the way he did.

Its going to be the same thing he did with esd. Its pretty obvious hicks wants more money for the work he's doing. He's going to work hicks to the bone till hicks cracks and leaves. Then it'll really be ron and friends because he'll be bringing in htg crazed and zito to talk to when Fez is locked up.

As far as Zito I hated him but now i sympathize with him. Atleast in the area of Fez.

The recent Fez v. Zito arguments have been a proverbial irresistible douche meets unfunny object.

Bringing Roland onto the show to bust Zito's balls has been the only highlight. Fez comes into the arguments with no comedic intentions in mind and Zito is just not good at turning the heat that Fez directs at him into anything of quality.

I agree with this. But I also just think it is all just a bit, more like the stuff they did years ago with Billy Staples, Al Dukes, Wonderboy, and Harry. Ron and Fez used to like the pro-wrestling storylines. There was always some background storyline going on with others on the show. They even sort of tried to do it with Rustin- he went from greatest 19yo intern to major disappointment on the flip of a coin. Mark Zito, the major kiss ass, that Fez (and apparently alot of others there) doesn't like is a good storyline.

Unfortunately, usually when Ron does these things, Fez reacts with some sort of humor. There has been no humor in Fez's responses. He's actually making Zito interesting.

There is no comparison between Zito and Dave. Dave is so creative and brought so many bits into the show. I like Zito though. He really gets under Fez's skin and I think he's playing the heel role to a tee.
