I was walking around the Electrics department in wally world yessserday.
I ran across I PROBLEM i saw. FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!!!!!!l
They had put stickers on their Vizio Tv's......
being the fuck-nerd that i am noticed a problem. They had a sticker for a TRULED sticker on a RAZORLED tv. I would not have a problem if this wasnt such a problem though. There is a great difference between the tvs.
Vizio makes to lines of LED tvs. One, the razorled, only has lights on the edges. The TRULED, has a full array of led in the back. The entire TV has lights behind it.
I was there listening to a sales rep trying to sell a tv to guy, the customer asked what is the difference between LED and LCD, the rep said that the LCD's are bigger than LEDS......sigh.
I called that guy over when he finished BS'ing the poor bastard and asked him what he knew on the TV, he said it looks good..........dumb ass. Then i told him that They have that sticker on there which is false advertising. He retorted with, walmart wouldnt have it there if it was. I was like listen, I KNOW what the fuck im talking about. He then goes to say, "I dont work over here, im just filling in" (but he was just trying to sell a fucking tv to some rube).
He gets the department manager. I tell the whore, she was being stuck up and all cunty. she said as well walmart wouldnt do it if it was wrong. WORNG BITCH!!!!!! later they took it off.
I hope they dont sell any more of them.
Fuck ass's

tags make me giggle.
Anyone with half a brain will do their research online before going to any store to make a purchase.
I always assume that the salesmen knows nothing.

Maybe you should get a flat-screen TV. Don’t skimp and get the Vizio. Get what you deserve. Get the Sony... -- Kenny Powers

I am shocked. Dismayed. Flabbergasted. What has Wal-Mart come to? I remember when it was a stalwart of retail competence ... wait, I don't remember that ever being the case.

I have a love-hate relationship with the Consumerist. I like some of their articles, but others seem like people pissed off that a company is actually enforcing its rules, thinking that if they bitch loud enough they can get some free shit.

when those topics do come up, its usually something that can be answered with:
"thats why i make my own _________ at home..."
but you have to admit, they do help those who are truly getting screwed

I bought a floor demo Tv from Kmart. It was made with no remote. The volume button fell off. I have to use something to get inside of it to turn the volume back.
It's all about the cheap.

Anywhere can be a bad place to buy anything, if you don't do some research. ALL stores can be bad. ALL stores can be good.

I don't know if it's still the case but the TV companies used to HATE Walmart. Walmart entering the CE market heavily around 2001 was when TV's went from a 30 point margin to under 10 points by the time I left the industry back in 2005. Walmart just flooded the market with cheaper and cheaper TVs, lost money on them, but drove more than a few companies under in the process. The plus side for Walmart is their only real competition now in that market is Best Buy, for consumers it's that the market never recovered and TVs are dirt cheap to this day.
