Yes, another Law & Order thread.
They started showing this on BBC America about a month ago and I started watching it.
I noticed that some of the stories seemed familar and then read that they redid original L&O shows and made them fit the British legal system.
Also read that it debuted in the UK back in 2009 and we're just now seeing it here in the US.
Show's been pretty interesting and you should check it out if you like L&O and can tolerate people who speak wierd English.
There are some recognizable actors. One of which was the guy who played the head of Umbrella in some of the Resident Evil movies.

Thanks for bringing this show up. I had no idea it was out there. I just finished the first episode. As you said, if you like L&O (and can deal with the whole British thing), you will like it. What surprised me, is that the writing is almost identical to the US version. I always hear that, when the US does versions of UK shows, they end up being very different in the end. That's not the case when it's reversed.

I read that Dick Wolf, the creator of the original show I believe, was very much involved in the translation to the UK version.
That could explain why they are so similar.
I miss the show when it's played in it's normal 9:00 slot on Fridays so I usually catch it On Demand.
Love having that reserve show to watch when nothing else is on.

You'll see during the opening credits that it'll say something like " based on the story Blah Blah Blah " amd it'll be the title of the original US version the story's based upon.

It's on Fridays at 9. I think they usually show the prior week's episode right after the new one.
I usually catch it On Demand though.

U.K. follows the formula. Not that that's a good thing.
Law and Order is nothing but a "Dragnet" remake. It's a two-ingredient formula--1. Everybody talk fast -- 2. Put a few recurring tones at the end of scenes as you transition to the next scene.
