selfish mediocre players and a top tier star are gone

the new look Knicks start the season against the Raptors in Toronto

a new team with more talent and more unselfish players are in...... We all know what Amare is capable of, and Gallo, Bill Walker, Will Chand, Toney Douglas were on the team last year and kinda know what they can do

I have no idea about Shawne Williams,, I wanted Patrick Ewing Jr to make team

and I hope the Loan Sharks get to Eddy Curry and break his thumbs

but here is my opinion on the rest of the new additions

Felton: Great on the Transition, solid point guard... but will have to be consistent from 20 ft and from 3 pt land.. He will get his lay up , but he will be needed to score points when open and there are no other options

Mozgov: good touch in the paint , nice defensive presence but needs to Learn how to play defense with fouling

Fields: Great sense of the game.. good jump shot, and plays Defense, he seems to have the presence of someone who has played the game for 3-5

Mason Jr: Kendal Gill Chuck , who will miss jump shot after jump shot if he plays.. I hope he does not make the rotation... his one 24 point outing is not worth the 8 other games when he goes 4-14

Randolph: Mr Softee.. soft , but has talent.. needs to grow a pair , I sure hoipe he plays, does well and can be used for trade bait... he looks confused and makes mistakes if he doesnt have a open shot or lay up

Rautins: not NBA ready... he would be the White guy to cheer for , but Gallo has that job

Turiaf: Heart, Rebounds and Energy... I love this dude, but you need solid offense around him... this is why I think he should start... have the scorers do there thing and he can grab rebounds and bring energy....

lots of good pieces, but mean nothing if they can't gel.... too many possessions in the pre season where no offense was generated and a awful jump shot was taken to avoid a shot clock violation....

I have been called a jinx , so I will predict nothing.... but will comment on past happenings and give my generic insight....

i like the makeup of this team. its young and athletic and once they miss the playoffs this year and dantoni gets fired, we will get a real coach and this team would be pretty good defensively too

Agreed. I was little worried there near the end, but thankfully the Knicks didn't blew the game.
They should've kept feeding Amare' the ball at the end. Oh well, hopefully this team will get better.

dude he was a beast too. You woulda loved it. He took a shot in a collision late but should be ok. But in the time he was there he rebounded and defended solid, was fierce around the basket, and made a few really nice passes.

plus he has an incredible beard.

Mozgov needs to learn what a pump fake is..... I like that Amar'e took over in the final 3 minutes and showed Evan that he can dominate..... Turiaf played great... awesome energy... Landry Fields also is NBA ready..... he is gettin open and could average 10 12 pts a game easily..... Fuck Mason Jr... fucking Kendal Gil Gerald Wilkins like chuck who can't hit a jump shot......

im officially 100% behind this knicks team. I love the fire Amare shows on the court. Every game, every minute, every play, he is goin at it as hard as he can. Im loving it. Fields is the same way. Chandler, douglas, they all look energized. They dont look anything like the past few years knicks. Tonight they were down 11 with 1:45 left and STILL kept busting it, hustling, ended up gettin back within 2 with 20 seconds left. They have fight I havent seen in a long time.

They still need to gel, get azibuke and randolph back and in the mix, and so maybe this year will still have alot of bumps, but the next few years. Im really liking what I see.

And Turiaf is an animal. No matter what happens this year, this is a new, much better, and more fun knicks team and I have no hesitation in supporting this team, FINALLY.

some good ball movement and that game atleast would have brought the game to OT

also can the Knicks hit a Foul Shot.... love Turiaf, but he missed a lay up and 3 pt play opp.. then misses 2 FTs... there's your turning point

still look better then last year since they are hanging with better teams... but 1 win out of those 2 back to back games would have been nice

Amare is a finisher and will continue to turnover the ball if you hand to him up top and say go....

good to see Gallo regain his touch ....

It looks like the Knicks have the classic problem of an up-tempo team: lack of toughness. Talented, fun, but where is the guy to back up Amare when Bogut sticks and elbow in his ribs? Where is the guy to body up Kevin Love?

This is always a hard problem for a team designed like NYK to figure out.

Alot of it is Turiaf being out. If Turiaf was playin last night, he woulda fuckin laid Kevin Love on his ass. He is the fire. We have alot of good athletes, and when turiaf was there they were all fired up and busting it. Now he is out and they just stand around. Dantoni cant do shit and they know he is stupid and they dont have someone else keeping them in line now

From the San Francisco Chronicle: “Power forward David Lee did not travel with the team from Chicago to Milwaukee on Friday, instead returning to the Bay Area for surgery to clean out an infection from the inside of his left elbow. The Warriors said the surgery will be performed by Dr. Frank Chen in Fremont, but they were unable to release a timetable for a return to the court. Early estimates are that Lee will miss about two weeks.

Maybe Wilson should brush, flush or even use an antiseptic.

also good things came from Landry Fields getting more touches.... sit Mason Jr.. he is a Vet, but he is sucking balls

Bill Walker is a better shooter and can dunk like a mother fucker.....

so close but these 16 pt deficits and 2 pt losses plagued the Knicks first 2 years

wait like 15-20 games , see if this team has matured...

if not Fire D'Antoni and give the team to Herb until the end of another miserable season

My opinion from watching so far is as the season progress’s the Knicks are gonna beat the teams they should beat more often, and there will be nights (far and few in between) they shoot well and beat teams they shouldn't beat. There enough bad teams in the East for them to wind up a few games under .500 and make the playoffs.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to watch the Knicks all that often so I am sure you have a more informed perspective then I do. I‘ll agree with you that he makes bone headed decisions both personal wise and strategically, that is a given. With that said watching last night’s game the shooting was terrible. If they would have hit a quarter of the open shots they missed, the game is easily in the W I/O the L column.

fuckin love Turiaf. He is already the heart of the team. He gets them fired up and is a beast around the basket. And he started tonight for the first time so that chandler could go back to 6th man (i cant wait til he is 12th man, fuck you wilson you goddamn BUM). I dont know why dantoni hates Douglas so much. he yells at him all the time and then he starts pressing cause he is nervous and then he gets benched. Anyway not a great win tonight but a win is a win. They started awful and came back from down 15 before almost blowing a 14 point lead.

Turiaf rules, i really like fields. and dantoni is retarded. A few times, he got the ball to amare after he went toward the basket and it worked great. Most of the time they clear out and its ugly. Dantoni sucks, this team is so much better than he has them playing.

they had some grateful dead concert on before the game. they do that every friday. When the knicks are home they just run the concert after. Last week it was Dave Mathews, first friday it was Robert Randolph. Next week it will be someone else. its actually kinda cool that they do that, but it also shows just how little of substance is on MSG when games arent

him and felton. it also has to do with attitude. Amare has them all fired up and gets on guys if they slack so they all work hard all the time now. And he is ALOT better than they acted like he was in Pheonix. He even busts his ass on D unless he is in foul trouble. He isnt great at D but its not like he never tries like they said.

Felton has also been really good

8 straight 30 point games for amare, 19 points 17 assists for felton, 27 from chandler. Everyone played great today

the way felton is playin, and amare playin maybe the best in the NBA, you gotta think it puts them up there with anyone. Especially with the Celtics gettin older.

Basically, As long as we have felton, amare, melo, fields, gallo and turiaf im happy. If we made a trade and gave up will and buke and randolph fine, as long as we have those other guys we will be able to run with anyone. Esp with all the other teams gettin older.

If we say fuck you denver and just sign him, even better. The future, regardless, is bright

Since the start of "Dream Week" (ghey name) the Knicks are 3-4.... I can dig it......

That Celeveland loss annoys me , but the Knicks looked like little Mac when he runs out of energy and turns pink.....

January does not get any easier, If they Knicks could be 2 to 3 games over .500 by Febraury, they would be a in a good place..

also the Knicks need a Back Up PG and to give Anthony Randolph a chance to play so he can bait a 1st Rd Pick Trade or Play Well...

also Shawne Williams sucks.. a few 3 pters hit does not make up for terrible defense , 2-3 Traveling Violations and 2-3 Offensive Fouls.. he kills the momentum as much as he gains it my hitting 3s...
