I see this at an alarming frequency: a home with a glass screen front door and the regular door wide open behind it. You can see right into the home. You see them eating dinner and watching tv, walking around etc.
Why do people do this? I think it is inviting trouble. Do you see this happening too?

we used to do that most of the year even in the winter. I guess it all depends on who live there and the neighborhood. No one was coming into my house i know that for a fact.

These people at the bottom of my parents' street converted their garage into a kitchen and replaced the garage door with these HUGE sliding glass/screen doors. They have no curtains or blinds or anything. And they're literally at the end of my parents' street so anyone going down there comes to stop sign before turning and is staring directly into their kitchen as they sit at the table having dinner. Why would anyone want to live like that? It's like constantly being on display in some retarded zoo.

Even in a relatively low crime area like where I live, the incidents of people busting into occupied homes is increasing at an alarming rate. It's crazy to leave your door open. This reminds me of a debate that FMJeff and Missy had with each other on here. He felt there was no reason to lock your door, because of the old "if they want to get in, they will" argument.
I pointed out a case very close to my house several years ago. A 14 or 15 year old kid walked into someone's house at night, got a knife from their kitchen, and killed the husband. When asked why he picked that particular house, he said it was the first one that had an unlocked door.

That's why we have two Rottweilers.

It's not much different. Watching TV with the door open, a group of people can just walk in and kick your ass in a heartbeat.

I see one house where the front door faces the steps, and I saw a girl walking up the steps and she just had a t shirt and panties on. Its like an invitation for a rapist.
Who even wants the chance that you might walk past the door like that? Idiots.
