there is a tiny street in the west village called Cornelia street. 2 restaurants there, Palma and Po are both excellent, you would be happy with either one.

the great thing is that on this small street there are about 5-6 good places to eat, but I like those 2 the best

Why not just email ronandfez@aol.com with about how much you want to spend and what kind of food you like and he'll see what he can put together?

For seafood:

Blue Water Grill (http://maps.google.com/maps/place?hl=en&expIds=17259,18168,26637,26993&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&cp=5&safe=off&wrapid=tljp1287093424438058&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=blue+water+grill&fb=1&gl=us&hq=blue+water+grill&hnear=New+York,+NY&cid=10134656057350907327)

Also has good seafood, among other things:

Bourbon Street (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&gl=us&hl=en&g=31+Union+Square+West%2C+New+York%2C+NY+10003-3203&q=burbon+street#)

And a great steak place:

Keens Steak House (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&gl=us&hl=en&g=31+Union+Square+West%2C+New+York%2C+NY+10003-3203&q=burbon+street#)

For Italian food try il cortile in little italy.

For seafood I love City Crab on Park Ave

For Steak... there are tons of places!

If you want something quick and something relaxed. Try Trailer Park on w 23rd. Its a little hole in the wall. Its a burger and grilled cheese joint. My ex and I were watching the food network and it was on one of those shows that tell you about places you never heard of. It was Saturday like 2 am and we just got home. They showed this place and a picture of there grilled cheese with bacon on texas toast. It looked so good, I looked at her and said we are going there tomorrow. For the next couple years it was one of those places we went to instead of a diner.

In Brooklyn, I highly recommend Tacos Matamoros. (http://www.yelp.com/biz/tacos-matamoros-brooklyn#query:Late%20Night)

It is in Sunset Park, but worth the trip. Have been there many times, always great food and I am always amazed at how cheap it is.
Tonight, I had a super gringo chorizo taco, a spicy pork grande taco and a margarita (they don't serve beer) for $12. The grande tacos are $2.25 and one might be enough, two would definitely be enough.
Clean place and nice service. Sorry WF, many of the waitresses don't have a great grasp of English.
