It's somewhat depressing, but... It's a hell of a lot easier to sell today. I'd also like to see a link. Is it based on number of sales, or is it based on dollars? I bought my first Beatles album in the mid 70's. It cost under $5. With stuff like iTunes, people pay a buck a song with the click of a button.

I think the actual story was that the Glee had passed the Beatles for singles in the top 100. Which is absolutely meaningless because it takes way less sales to crack the top 100 these days.

I heard that on the radio. Google is not showing it as said without some deep digging.

Eaiser to sell today? The RIAA dosen't seem to agree, with how they whine about sales while suing kids and old folks.

It is easy to find free music. That dosen't mean lots do it. Or some that do don't also buy what they like.

that's so sad...and if you think about it almost every version of rock came from the time frame as the beatles.

It doesn't help that the Supreme Court is trying to figure out whether or not to suspend the first amendment rights of those people from the Westboro church...if they succeed with this none of us will have a 1st amendment anymore.
