"Accidental overdose" basically means it wasn't a suicide attempt. Sounds like he might have been drinking while taking pills. Not the smartest idea.

Very sad about Greg Giraldo's death. He was one of the nicest, smartest guy I've ever worked with. A brilliant comic. It's hard to believe he's gone at this point.

Too bad. I heard him over the summer co-hosting a Sunday afternoon fill-in show on WABC. He talked about his miserable marriage and divorce; it didn't sound like it was part of his stand-up act.

Very sad about this news. This guy was not only hilarious, but extremely bright. And hands down the best roaster in the last 10 years.

When i first learned that he was a Harvard law grad working at some white shoe firm in the city who up and quit to pursue his passion of comedy, i regarded him as a hero, who chased his dreams. I'm sure his family was completely against the idea - instead wanting him to garner success with his law degree instead of the risky chance at stardom, and getting caught up in the trappings that come with it.

Sad to think what they are thinking right now.

I think its pretty common for most comedians to be in poor taste. And I'm sure if Giraldo could've read that he would laugh.

I only watched a couple of his roasts which he had very funny, racy moments but he always stumbled on his words and seemed like a nervous comic! I thought he was terrible on Last Comic Standing. I was completely wrong about him he was one funny mother fucker! I was shocked watching clips from his regular shows and how much better and different he was from the little I had seen of him. Now I wish I went to see him live!
