My Xbox 360 still has the RROD after fixing the heatsinks. What else can I do or try to fix it?
I have an older Xbox 360, and it recently got the three-light RROD. I have since replaced the power brick, as well as performing one of the 'fix the RROD' type fixes which involves removing the X-clamps as well as using silver thermal compound on the connections. Unortunately, neither of these have fixed the issue. What else could the problem be? And is it fixable?

stupid question, but have you tried unpluggin it and pluggin it back in? there are reports of power surges causing a red ring warning that looks very similar to the RROD. also, check out the wikipedia page about the RROD.....it seems pretty well written for a wiki page and last i looked at it, i think i remember it offers suggestions before you completely loose your mind and go ape shit.

The best thing to do to fix this is build a time machine, travel back in time, and slap yourself in the face before you buy a 360. It may put some sense into you.
Seriously, I remember reading that at 3 bar RROD is actually an audio problem that was mistaken for the RROD by many

By a PS3 and use the dead xbox as a foot stool.
