My toshiba lcd tv leaves ghost images on my screen, especially when I pause TV or stay on the program guide for a while. It also leaves a vertical black line after watching 4:3 ratio for awhile (longer than say 10 minutes) then switching over to wide screen. It appears to go away after a while, but it should not happen at all.

I have also noticed that the screen gets hot - something that I didnt think LCD's did.

It is 2 years old, and is used moderately. It comes through on 2 different HDMI inputs (one for satellite and one for a PS3) and the component input for the wii.

Anyone have this problem? Know what I can do to fix it?

There's nothing wrong with your TV. It's your guilty conscience subconsciously imposing an image of that hooker you killed in a drunken haze a few years back over everything you see.

You won't have peace until you deal with this, you know. You know what to do.

Seriously, you should be able to reverse this by displaying an all-white image on the screen for a while, like maybe overnight.

None of those things should be happening on an LCD screen. There's no reason for any image to persist like that (unlike plasma or CRTs where things can "burn-in"). Is it still under warranty?

Of course the warranty is over - just my luck right?

And I agree, I didnt think this stuff should happen with an LCD. I bought it specifically because the sales guy at Best Buy talked me out of the plasma that I was planning on buying because he told me it would ghost and drive me nuts..................
