before you get excited, its pretty much full. But most of the people are on the board so I figure this is the fastest way to get messages across
For anyone in the league, I will be randomly drawing the divisions and draft order TONIGHT at like 1130-12 in the chat on cam so that everyone knows its legit. Dont forget, draft is Wednesday at 10pm.
(all times eastern)

is this the league with the retarded scoring system or did you start a normal league with normal scoring?
If its normal then I might be available, if its a league that an INT give you negative 1 million points then not available!

again, if you bothered to learn how to read, its already full. this thread is for the people who are in
and what retarded scoring? Interceptions are worth -4, always have been. TDs are worth 6, so that 3 picks will cancel out 2 TDs, like they should

I read "pretty much full", meaning not full but pretty much. Anyway no matter I would never join a league that had 4 negative points per int, because that makes so much sense! I surprised every cbs, espn and yahoo league doesnt adopt that scoring system?!

I think most leagues I've done an INT counts as -2 or 4 against your QB. Just like more than a certain amount of points counts as -something against your D

i would just like to add something here.
Fallon, who drafted a kicker in round 11 btw, also managed to draft 5 RBs before he had a 2nd WR. We start 2 RBs, 2 WRs, and a flex, so he has more RBs than he can actually use. i hope gostkowski gets drilled on a kickoff and cant play til week 17

I'm happy with Austin, Edwards & Mason as my WR's for the moment and I like a lot of RB's, what should my bench be used for?
Gostkowski is gonna score a lot this season.

As a straight football fan, all homerism aside, I truly believe Kolb will have between 30-35 touchdowns this year. His weapons on offense combined with Andys love of the pass and a shitty defense will combine to have that effect. I may be completely wrong but thats what I believe will happen. That being said I didnt draft my team and I really did want at least one Eagles on it also.

I'll put good money on him NOT getting to this VERY unreasonable total right now. You're basically saying he's going to put up 2 tds a game and will be amongst the leaders in the league in his first year with a coach who isn't dumb enough to lean on him early on especially. Homerism is surely not aside in this discussion. It's simply amazing the love for anyone else and it's over the top nature versus the disdain for McNabb. Eagles fans are surely a strange crowd.
Personally, I see a LOT of FGs for the Eagles this year with a young QB and RB.
What's the bet TS?! 20?

spoon I was just about to write the same thing. I do like Kolb but 2 games last year do not equal a career or full season of stats as crazy as those numbers. It amazes me the love for a guy who has done nothing and the utter hate for a guy who is borderline a hall of famer! I actaully think Washington will have a better season then philly. I predict both teams will be close to 10 wins but I think the edge will go to the skins because of their coach and Mcnabb! I wouldnt be surprised if Kolb had a good year because I think they might try to pad his stats to make the trade seem smart and to try to make it look like going with Kolb was the better choice. Purely a move to allow the fans to bash Mcnabb even more. I think that could back fire and cost them some games and Kolb some ints. Its not like phillys coach isnt known for throwing when he should run!

Sig bet on who has a better record? Washington or Philly?
So you're saying that he'll be a top five QB. That's crazy homer talk.
Its really not. I also predict them going 8-8 or 9-7 at best. I just feel our defense is young, undisciplined and trying to learn and feel its going to lead to alot of shootouts. It wouldnt surprise me in the least to see him throw 4 TDs in game one and lose to Green Bay 41-31.
You guys realize that QB stats are some of the hollowest in any sport right? Thats why I give more credit to the QB that constantly plays good clutch football and wins. Look at Fantasy football. Alot of times the QB that has the best week, throws for 400 yards and 3 TDs, does it because his team is down 20 in the first quarter and hes got no other option then to abandon the run and pass all day.
I do think Kolb is a good QB and is going to surprise alot of people, but Im more convinced hes going to have a good year statistically because hes got Jackson, Maclin and Avant at WR, Celek at TE, McCoy as a recieving RB and a coach that is addicted to the passing game as if its heroin. Add that to the fact that alot of teams that can just keep scoring on our defense and it could turn out to be a very good fantasy year for him.
My problem with McNabb was never his stats. It was his play in the clutch, or lack thereof. Playing in Washington hell have plenty of opportunities to try and pull wins out at the end of games. We'll see how he does then.

Can QB statistics be hollow? Sure at times. But claiming that Kolb will have 30-35 TDs is just silly to me. Let's look at 2009's leaders:
Brees - 34
Manning - 33
Favre - 33
Rodgers - 30
That's it. 4 QBs in the entire league had 30. Now you are going to stick a QB in his first real chance to be the man in that mix? Sorry, way to unlikely to me.

OK...I have Robbie Gould at kicker. The pregame coverage said that with the wind they could conceive of a kicker making a 70 yard FG with the wind at their back in Chicago today, but into the wind a PAT is gonna be tough. Do I leave Robbie in, hoping for a 50+ yarder (& the corresponing 5 pts), or do I replace him with Neil Rackers kicking on the carpet in Houston?

I dont want any BS excuses like Fallon gave me.
He tells me he cant get off work 2 hours early (he works til 1130pm) to make it to the draft on time because he has taken too many days off this summer (apparently, for some reason, he felt it wise to take off 6 fridays in a row)
but then he says he is workin doubles this week and pulling 75 hours. well, THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE NO TROUBLE GETTIN OFF 3 HOURS EARLY ONE NIGHT and only pulling 73 hours this week. I get it if you are working normal weeks, but im pretty sure your boss is gonna be like ok, you are working 75 hours for me this week, so i guess i could let you out one night at 9pm instead of 11 PM.
See, cause you are working 35 extra hours. So if he wont give you like 2 off, then you just say oh then i guess im not gonna be able to work those other 33 extra hours i dont have to work
