Having been at that course, that was definitely one of those tiny bunkers in the design. Plus the PGA went out of its way this week to instruct these guys that those cosmetic bunkers would be treated as bunkers even if they were out of bounds.

I played high school golf back in the day and they pounded that kind of shit into us. If it was any type of hazard/sand or whatever you can't ground the club before your real swing.

I didn't see it though so I don't know how bogus it was.

Again, Augusta is shown that they should lose the sudden-death bullshit at the Masters. A tournament of that magnitude should not be decided in one hole.

But, on the other hand, the US Open should lose the 18 hole playoff. We don't need a whole other round.

I prefer the British Open's 4 hole playoff to the PGA's 3 hole playoff, but both are fine.

I've been there too, so I'm not sure what your point was with that. If I'm playing and I hit a ball into a crowd and it happens to land on a patch of dirt where people are standing, footprints are on the ground, grass is in and around it and theres no lip in sight there's no way I'm thinking that's a bunker.

To further that thought, here is what the PGA emphasized with the players during the week:

"All areas of the course that were designed and built as sand bunkers will be played as bunkers (hazards), whether or not they have been raked. This will mean that many bunkers positioned outside of the ropes, as well as some areas of bunkers inside the ropes, close to the rope line, will likely include numerous footprints, heel prints and tire tracks during the play of the championship. Such irregularities of surface are a part of the game and no free relief will be available from these conditions."

Ive never played golf for more than 10 cents a hole, and even I remember to look at the local rules for whatever course im on before I start the round.

They were company tix so I didn't pay a cent, plus a wristband into a few tents along the way so that was free food and drink too.

And I loathe those guys as well, truthfully there weren't really that many today so thats good. At least as far as I could tell, I only saw Tiger play about 6 holes.

I had great seats at this cards game lately like 15 feet behind the catcher. And for the last 2 innings this fuck face started yelling predictions to our batters as we were only a run down. imagine 2-2 pitch to pujois and OUTSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE! right as the ball is released. MIDDDLE!!!!!!!!!!!! INSIDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Do you remember where you saw him? I saw him on 1,2,3,15,16 and 18. Literally right up on the tee box for 3 and 16. I heard people yell at him. Like normal 'Yea Tiger!' bullshit, but nothing immediately after contact or that 'Go in the hole!' crap.
