I am a busy fancy man with a fancy job.

I have no time to look at commoner movie sites.

If the director talks aboot a piece of crap, does that make it any less of a piece of crap?

And kick Michael Moore in the balls for me.

I don't think he can, he would get all stomache.

I've heard that Collapse was amazing, and genuinely scary. Not slasher scary, but our world is going to hell scary.

Either that or the Cane Toad movie. I bet that would actually be fascinating.

There is almost no reason to see a documentary in a theater.

I would probably go see The Girl Who Played With Fire
Solitary Man
The Trotsky
Or How to Save a Fish From Drowning

I wonder if theres some kind of group that facilitates independent theaters with getting prints of movies. I live near one and almost every movie they've had this summer (they get one a week) is on that list, and its stuff thats been out for awhile.

Cane Toads: The Conquest

No question. This director knows Cane Toads.

I've heard The Concert is good. I missed it at my festival, but I'll catch it eventually.

The Girl Who Played With Fire is actually a sequel, so if you haven't seen the first movie, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, don't see the second one. It's a nice series, so you might want to catch it, the first one is out on DVD/Blu-Ray.

Restrepo is a very nice war doc.

Tucker & Dale vs Evil is fucking hilarious, must see, IMO.

I've also heard great things about Tucker & Dale.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is available instant on netflix. It might be nice to catch them both as the whole series is probably getting an American remake. For some reason there is an insane amount of chatter about the first one, which they're only just casting.

I saw all those books for sale at Costco last week. I predict a big-budget hollywood reaming of the series in the near future.

Yeah, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, George Clooney all wanted to make the movie, they are going with Daniel Craig, I'm guessing because he's cheaper.

Castaway on the Moon and Collapse look great. See as many docs as you can in case they're hard to find later on.

But David Fincher's directing, which is the guy Id want on the project.

If they handed it off to some total hack like McG (douchiest name ever) or Michael Bay, I'd be more worried. As it is, I'm just mildly concerned and only slightly skeptical.

There has been so much press about the remake you'd think it was going to be a big summer blockbuster, but reading the wikipedia it seems like a somewhat intellectual mystery, and certainly seems like a hard R. If the hype continues to build I dont know how they're going to manage. They're already asking Fincher questions about the sequels.

You should hunt down "Lemon Party, Bigger, Badder, and Uncut."

Some of Wilford Brimley's finest work.
