With all the fun you have at the gym, I'm surprised you need a protein powder.

To put this into perspective, here are the heavy metal contents of your average 6 oz. can of tuna (extrapolated from this study (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=7&ved=0CDEQFjAG&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.heavymetaldetox.net%2FResearc h%2520Articles%2Fheavy%2520metal%2520content%2520o f%2520canned%2520tuna.pdf&ei=Ok1ATJGDDM6enwfxz93cDw&usg=AFQjCNFamgvEDSDG48Trb3nM9ryZLRfpMg))

Mercury: 19.89 micrograms
Arsenic: 21.76 micrograms
Cadmium: 3.79 micrograms
Lead: 6.22 micrograms

I was just about to say yay, because I didn't see my EAS on there. Then I saw it, and it has the most Arsenic.

Muscle Milk was so convenient!

Guess I'll have to go back to blending raw beef in a blender with ice. Beef smoothies.

I take so much of this shit all the time. It used to be that the protein powders were your safest bets to get something out of your supplement money because the majority of the shit out there is just that - shit. protein is protein, at least until they found metal in it.

That asterisk looks like it's hiding some dubious shit but i'm way too lazy to dig into it.

I'd be enormously surprised if metals in your protein was a new phenomenon. It's more likely that no one has bothered to test them...at least no one with as big of a soapbox as CR. The bottom line is that your protein is an agricultural product. Anything that grows or eats is going to pick up some environmental contamination. When we harvest the soy or the milk, those contaminants come along for the ride.

What? He's fond of protein powder, I see no problem.
