I had zero interest in this movie... until now. Fincher FTW.
I like all the principle players involved in this and yet still think it's going to blow.

Carson Daly had Jessie Eisenberg on his show last night. He is one weird guy. And I had no idea his little sister (Hallie Eisenberg) is the little curly haired jew girl from the Pepsi commercials.

What a fucking waste of Fincher!
I got a killer script about Netscape! Any chumps wanna finance that?

The Aaron Sorkin script was rumored to be dynamite. The trailer confirms that the tradition of photographically beautiful Fincher films will continue. The sprawling cast is filled with mostly unknowns, except for JT and Jesse Eisenberg, or as I like to call him, the rich man's Michael Cera. JT having a prominent role also continues the Fincher tradition of musicians being cast in his films. I'm really excited for this, not because I'm fascinated by Facebook, but because I'm interested in seeing a movie about friendships ripped apart by greed and ruthless ambition.

I agree about facebook, it sucks, and do a lot of shady shit. But I love Aaron Sorkin and will watch almost anything he makes. I do look forward to this movie if only for understanding the business end of it. I love anything to do with business and how new companies take off and are worth billions in such short periods of time.

It's a smart movie....there is lot's of fast talking which is typical of a Sorkin script.
Fincher and Sorkin are a good combo.
As I say it's a smart movie. much smarter than Wall Street II.

If that's true, the marketing for it was shitty as can be.
I'm usually a Sorkin fan, but I was going to avoid this like the plague based on the previews. You don't get to 500 millions friends without making a few enemies ... did they just make the interns do all the work on this? And the first trailer with no video and just audio was the worst thing I have seen (uh, heard) in a while.
However, if the RT meter stays in the 90+ rate, I might actually catch it.

97% on RT.
It was pretty flawless. The script is fantastic, every performance was great. The characters had depth.
I don't care if it was slanderous on Zuckerberg or Sean Parker, it was an incredibly entertaining film. I wish it was longer.
Fincher is God, Timerberlake might get a nomination for supporting

I cant wait to see this movie. I have heard so many great things and now this last post is making me want to go tonight.
As for rotten tomatoes, I have never gone on that site nor do I understand the % things. Im guessing the higher the % that means thats the % of people that liked or recommend the film? So if a movies has a low % people thought it sucked?

Why should I care about a movie about the founder of facebook. I'm embarrased to even be on that garbage.

Time Magazine asked the same question.
It really didn't have much at all to do with Facebook itself.
But the story itself! There are elements of it that are as old as storytelling: friendship and loyalty, class, jealousy, betrayal-all those kinds of things that were being written about 4,000 years ago. It struck me as a great big classic story.

The interesting thing about this movie is that there is no gimmick. No twist. No shock.
It's the story of a kid who stole an idea & capitalized on it... who was then accused of doing exactly that. This is simply the telling of that story.... and I respect that.
