Why does Fez only attack people who like him?

80 people will call the show and attack Fez or bust his balls, and he'll just sit there in a sobby mess, not saying a word.

Then people will start calling and say they support Fez and trying to share their experiences with similar issues or give him advice (admittedly...these calls are fucking annoying...everyone trying to play radio doctor or radio therapist gets old very quickly...but at least, they're well intentioned).

When that happens, he gets really short, and passive aggressive those people.

But looking back, Fez has always pulled this shit...every single person who tried to befriend over the run of the show (the Mikey Ds of the world), he's been an asshole to and pushed away.

And everyone he's ever had a legitimate conflict or issue with (Taste of Lemon guy...Chad OchoCinco)...he cries anytime it's brought up and sits there terrified.

Fez is just a down right hateable person...he's awful to the people who mean well in his life, and he's terrified of the people who dislike him.

I'm not into bashing Fez, and I have listened to more Ron and Fez since I first heard them in 2006 than anything else, and will continue to listen as long as I can. I thoroughly enjoy the show everyday. But these past two weeks, it seems like doing the show is really fucking him up. It just doesn't seem good for him to be going through this right now. I know there's the whole "It's a work" angle that some people believe, but I have stopped believing that. And blaming the callers is silly. Fez, and Ron, have the ability to screen out the fez bashing callers for the most part if they want.

This is true, but people haven't just come into rf.net to do this ARBITRARILY. This didn't just HAPPEN. It's the goddamn elephant in the room. This shit has been culminating for years now from all the people who didn't buy the argument that ESD was standing in the way of Fez. And people don't just come in and say "Fez sucks" and leave. It's not as simple as you're putting it. Now that ESD is gone it is painfully obvious that Fez is not holding up his end. All the people that accused Dave of taking his mic time and keeping him from his former brilliance must now be second guessing, because that clearly wasn't the case.

So the question becomes, how long can a show with (ostensibly) two hosts deal with a situation in which one host cannot or refuses to contribute, for whatever reason.

To me, this isn't "anti-Fez". If people justed hated Fez, they probably wouldn't care that half of just about every show is devoted to picking on him. They probably wouldn't care that Fez sounds like he's absolutely TORTURED by being on the air.

I would imagine it's a nightmare to run a board for a show that is going through this sort of debate. It's a unique position, because generally any public figure who behaved like Fez would have been sent off to live out the rest of his days like JD Salinger or Greta Garbo long ago. Letterman wouldn't still be coming in if he started cracking up and crying every day. His show would be over. I don't envy any of you mods or long time listeners who are now de facto leaders of this community.

But it's a simple fact that Fez hasn't been holding up his part of the bargain for YEARS now, and there is bound to be a sizeable portion of the listening audience that want to discuss it. There are also a lot of trolls, as with any online community. But painting anyone who questions Fez's continued value to the show as an "anti-Fez" troll who doesn't care doesn't get us anywhere and isn't the whole truth anyway.

EDIT: and Fez attacks his supporters because unlike listeners who dislike Fez, supporters pressure him to do something about his issues and he resents that.
