I know it been a long time since I created a thread but I have a few projects that I knew RonFez techies would have answers to.

1st one is about tv's and watching your tv without cable or satellite. What do I need to be able to watch a tv without either of those 2? I know there is something you need to buy or something like that? I have 1 tv that is a LCD and one that is a regular old tube tv. I dont know if they both have built in tuners but I think the LCD one does. What do I have to buy and how do I hook them both up? How many stations will I get? Any information would be helpful. Any links to items and instructions would be great too.

Next question is about tuning up a computer. i have been pretty good ant fixing and upgrading computers, adding ram, etc but I was wondering what you think is the best software out there to remove old registries and to clean out all the junk and speed up a computer without doing a complete restore? I have a few programs that no matter what uninstallers I use or registry key fixer I use wont completely delete.

Has anyone heard of Time Stop (or something like that)? its program that always you to use trial software that give you 14 days or 30 days of trial use and stops the software from knowing the real time and allowing you to use it forever. Anyone know of something similar to it or how to use this software?

I appreciate any help or knowledge about these problems or questions I have!

THIS (http://download.cnet.com/IObit-Security-360/3000-8022_4-10967594.html) works pretty good. It does what cCleaner does, but a lot more. It can even speed up your RAM. Oh, and it's a good idea to use more than one type of spyware/malware program. I use both Spybot Search and Destroy and Malwarebytes.

FYI... The link downloads it from Download.com. It's a very good source for any kind of programs you're looking for, and the reviews for each program (both from the editors and the users) are a big help.

Oh, and... Welcome back!

Another tip is to make sure you don't have unnecessary start up items. You can disable them through Windows, but an easier way is to use Winpatrol (http://download.cnet.com/WinPatrol/3000-8022_4-10129149.html). You don't have to restart when you disable something, and it asks you if you want programs to be in your startup menu when you first install them. Also... When installing new programs, always use "custom install". It allows you to avoid adding stupid toolbars and shit, that often come with free programs.

you have serious problems, I almost forgot about them! So youre getting married? Plans coming together?

Papabear thanks, I have tried spybot before and it worked good. I guess my biggest concern, is it better to get paid versions or do these free version really work and do the job well enough to not have to pay for the other versions?

I've never had any problems with the free versions. But, like I said, it's good to use more than one kind of program. Some of them find stuff that the other ones don't.

What source are you downloading from? What program are you downloading with? Wired or wireless?
