I hate to say it, but aside from the phone song I just have no desire to listen to perrynoid's music. I've enjoyed his podcasts and have nothing against the guy himself, but I just do not dig most of his songs.
Actually, upon further thought I always liked Fat Baby, but now we're going back quite a ways

To the thread starter I recommend you give SSHUAS another shot. I think it's a lot of fun.
I also disagree with those who responded with HTG. She generally has conversations with Ron which is a good thing for the show. She's ok.
I have to second the folks who responded with Fez crying. After year of hearing him cry on the air (more than 6 years now since the first breakdown in DC) I can't take it anymore. I also turn it off when there is any discussion about the secret. It's been going on for years and nothing will ever come of it.
BTW if you turned during all of the interviews you missed Robert Randolph and Trixie Whitley!!

I had no complaints about Randolph's music, but what value did the interview hold? It was a self-aggrandizing musician being marked out to by a music fanboy.

Been a loyal listener/lurker on .net for quite some time. The show is very hard to enjoy now.
I now listen on audible and find myself forwarding through 1/4 to 1/2 of most every show. Skip 95% of interviews, HTG stinks on air, and the angry & crying Fez is growing very old. If I hadn't paid for the year i would no longer listen. I think I am just waiting for some type of payoff. I still listen to the older shows (from early 2000's) which are much more entertaining than the current show.
Randolph was the only thing that bugged me recently, and even then, I didn't skip or switch the channel.
I am fairly happy with the current "Ron and Fez Show." I realize I am in the minority, but I like it.

Why do you think you're in the minority? Because of a handful of jags who post on a message board? I'm sure the rule for radio callers is similar to the rule for message board posters, in that they are a very small percentage of the listening demo.

For being such a fine musician (which I'm sure he is). Randolph always sounds like a fucking retard when discussing creativity and music overall.
He's like a child prodigy. The results may be nice to listen to, but he has NOTHING interesting to actually say/sing as far as I'm concerned.
He needs an old white man to turn him on to old black music.

This fat twat makes a great point. He basically said that he, jack white, and the black keys were the only musicians around that cared about listening to "roots music". Yeah, no one makes music besides the guys with contracts. Just seemed like a very narrow vision of the musical world. For a guy trying to sound rootsy he has no awareness of the fact that millions of players are never heard and are very well versed in the music that he think he is exclusively priviledged to hear. I have itunes Robert, I've heard Leadbelly too.
That said, I listened to the whole interview. Search search is growing old but only because I don't try to play along on twitter. I think they have a good idea with the game. It's just interactive which makes it useless to those not interacting.
We should have a thread called "things that keep me sitting in my car listening to RnF".

Any talk of the secret. It's not a very good bit. Either say you're gay or never mention the secret again. It's just boring. If it were 1950, maybe having a secretly gay radio personality would be scandalous enough for this bit to be interesting but being gay isn't a big enough deal for a two-year long teaser in 2010.

Just because people still listen doesnt mean they are happy with the show. Ill always listen because Ron is worth the price of admission alone. But The show was alot better and more listenable when he had Dave there to talk to.
Anyway back on topic. SSHUS makes me change the channel immediately. Usually the music interviews too. I love when he interviews movie stars or comedians though. And I never turn off the show when Fez is crying, I wait for Ron to turn the callers loose and wait for the laughs.

but to answer the question...
most all interviews i'll listen to...

but if i tape the show, i skip them...
not interested in musical interludes either...

from the wednesday show, fez brought up a story about bob barker saying that drew carey wasn't doing a good job on The Price is Right.
i've only seen a handful of the drew carey eipsodes, but from what i've seen, fez and bob barker are absolutely right! drew carey rushes though the games and removes any excitement that the barker-era price is right had.
ron grilled fez like he was on the witness stand and turned a simple story into an hour-long bit of a$$hole anti-fez callers and ron berating fez for having an opinion on a damn game show!!!
certainly not the first time that type of thing has happened, and i hate it every time.

I have to admit, there have been quite a few times I've skipped through parts of my XM2go recordings because of this same sort of thing. And I'm not even really skipping it because of Fez crying. It's like you said... It's fucking annoying callers! And it's not just that they are bashing and teasing Fez. It's because the callers who do this, aren't even the slightest bit funny. They all call in saying the same shit over and over.

Ron does it because unlike you, most people arent entertained by Fezs daily breakdown. The guy needs to leave the show and check himself in for some help. Hes not funny or entertaining, and at this point, its actually sad to hear him in the state hes in. I listen to the show to be entertained, not to pity the host whos making 6 figures to cry on air during his 4 hour workday.
The solution isnt letting him get his crying out on air every day without repercussion by those tired of hearing it.

Who would you suggest for callers, I asume the bulk of Satellite Radio's audience are hayseed truck drivers with nothing else better to do in the middle of the day. Ron and Fez are on from 11am to 3pm it's not exactly prime time. Most people are at work and can't drop everything they are doing to call a radio show. They aren't going to get the grade a callers because of the time slot and the fact that some people think paying for radio is retarded.
There are a lot of people here complaining about the callers, have you tried calling in the show instead of complaining about the people who do ? Call me crazy but if you think the callers suck why not call in so those people don't get on air.

Don't know and don't care about most of the people being interviewed. Skipped half of last Fridays show.
I agree. I'll rarely listen to an interview unless it's someone I know and care about like Ray Davies for example. But as soon as Ron goes into his interview set up I tunr it off an wait a half an hour...and then have to wait another ten minutes because of the callers calling in to tell Ron how great of an interviewer he is. Which may very well be he case, but I don't want to hear it on "the Ron and Fez Show".
Also, any time I hear the words "New Girl" I turn the channel. What a vapid, dumb waste she is. The last hour of today's show was intolerable.

For all intents and purposes anonymously ganging up on a guy who obviously is in a weakened state who has health and mental issues is clearly bullying.
And yes, you're right, Fez was fucking on today. I've only been listening since 2008 right around the time he entered "the nut hut" so I had never heard him like this. He was killer.
