I have a few weddings coming up and badly need some new suits and these guys seem to have good sales.

Has anybody purchased a suit from them and if so is it quaility or mass produced ?

I've seen them w/ sales like buy 1 suit and get a 2nd of equal or lesser value for $99.

Also remember, I think, one that was buy 1 suit and get a 2nd free plus 2 free shirts and ties.

CAn't beat that as long as it's not Walmart-type clothing.

I have bought clothing there shirts, suit, dress pants.

The dress shirts are good quality as are the pants. Not inexpensive. Not super expensive either.

The suit gimmick always sort of baffled me. The prices on the one suit seemed sorta high which seemed to balance out the other $99 suit. I'm pretty sure it's just a gimmick and that you aren't getting any great deal.

I've always bought my suits from here. They usually have sales/specials but if not, most of the time they'll buy back your old suit(s). I've found them to be better quality and cheaper than Men's Wearhouse.

Years ago I went to one in the city here and the sales clerk (is that what you would call them?) was awful and just terrible all around. I had such a bad experience I haven't been back since.

However, whenever I see their sales, I think I should give them another try.

My wife went to the mall here and said they're having an unadvertised sale where you buy 1 suit and you get 2 free.

I feel like George Costanza I just hope the suit I might get doesn't swish when I walk.

That's where I buy most of my suits. Last year at the end of summer I got a bunch of their poplin suits for 100 bucks each - very good deal. I think the waist sizes may be a little off - make fat people feel skinnier maybe - but they are good suits. You may want to consider getting them tailored elsewhere - I think that was expensive.

Agreed. The sales people think they are selling Armani suits, but they have good clothes for the price.

So I went in there telling him I didn't wanna spend more than $400 but he Jedi Mind Tricked me into not looking at te summer suits.

So I explained to him that I didn't think I needed the 3rd suit and wanted to see if I could get the shirts/ties instead.

So he ended up selling me 2 suit trios ( 2 sets of pants, one of which matches the jacket like a suit shoud and the other pair can be worn with the jacket as a sports coat ) that were regular price $500 or so but I got them at 1/3 price each.

I also got 2 shirts ( $85 a piece ) and 2 ties ( $75 a piece ).

In all I paid $594 for everything.

The shirts and ties were buy 1 get 1 free anyway but seeing as though I got the 4 pairs of pants I think I made out in the deal.

I didn't even think that the alterations would cost me money until somebody mentioned it.

I'm supposed to go back tomorrow but how much do you think they'll charge me ?

Most likely just have to have the pants taken in a bit at the waist and maybe hemmed a little.

Am I better off going to a tailor ?

What do they abbreviate Joesph as Jos? that reason alone keeps me out of that shop

I looked it up and didn't see any reason why they spell it like that.

I'd guess $35-50 a suit, which is probably the same price a tailor would charge. If you have the time, I'd say find a reputable tailor.

It is old school. Kinda like how you might see William as 'Wm.' on old documents.
