I can't believe it's been a quarter century already. I remember how psyched my buddies and I were to see Zep reunite. Sure, it was a shit performace as Plant's voice was shot and Jimmy was coked out of his mind, but it was a truly emotional moment seeing that Bonzo had died only 5 years before.

And watching Queen fire up the Wembley crowd during Radio Gaga was unforgettable.

I remember watching this at home and also being pissed that I couldn't go, whereas it was only a few miles away from me. I was just watching that Queen set earlier today, really amazing. Also I think I thought that was Bowzer.

One of the greatest and worst days ever.
I've already told the great stories of seeing so many cool bands, and the horrific stories of nealy passing out and being ankle deep in pee and poo.

I loved the concept of that day but, technically... it was such a mess. The bands & sound quality was really bad.
AND.... a huge portion of the money that was raised that day was mis-managed.

LIVE-8 was 10x bigger and yet, somehow, nobody cared. Many people didn't even know it was happening.

(On a somewhat unrelated topic... you can CLEARLY hear Elton John snort two lines of coke immediately after his performance at The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. Brian May -who was onstage performing acoustically at that the time- clearly reacts to it.)
