I haven't liked a comic like this in a while. I know he's not really new, but he's just breaking now bc of his show Tosh.0.

He's crude and borderline racist! He hits pretty much anyone and revels in it. I fucking love his show and his stand up. Hitting the show at the Beacon later this year too.

With 2.4 million viewers, Daniel Tosh has taken the lead over Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert as Comedy Central's top-rated show host.

Last Wednesday, "Tosh.0" had its best ratings yet, boosting Comedy Central ratings in that time period to their highest since "Chappelle's Show" held the time slot in 2004.

Tosh's summer season, which premiered June 2, has averaged 2.2 million viewers and a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49, a 24% increase from the show's last season. In fact, five of the show's six episodes have broken Tosh's own previous ratings records. "Tosh.0" is now the network's #3-rated show, behind only "South Park" and "Futurama."

I enjoy the show. If it was solely the clips with no extra commentary, I'd still watch. The extra junk is fine, some of the skits are pretty funny [trust fall], but a hefty amount of it falls flat.

As far as his comedy...I hate standup comedy, and I'm sure his would be no exception.

Anthony could really take lessons in doing racial comedy from Daniel Tosh. His brilliance is that he can trash pretty much every racial, ethnic, religious, or even sexual orientation group in existence, and it just seems like good clean fun. It doesn't have the raw anger that Anthony's racial "humor" often does, and it's as often aimed at white people as any other race.

Tonight, he had a really great line, asking TBS to give Arsenio Hall a new show: "Just bump Lopez to 3 AM. That's when his fans are getting up to go to work anyway."

I've been watching older episodes this weekend, and when I watched him joke about the clip where the old drunk guy tries to put on pants as his shirt, I don't think I've ever laughed harder. My sides still hurt and I'm still laughing thinking about it.

Comedy is very much like music I guess, bc while I'll admit Tosh can sophomoric at times, other times he throws out some gold that cracks me up as well. Morgan on the other hand isn't as solid as I would have thought on stage, bc his work on 30 Rock is classic. I don't think either comedian would be put in the insightful column, but both are funny to me.
