The above was speech number 2.
The real speech was delivered 2 days ago, when Bush was told by an aide that he had to give a State of the Union address.
He remarked, "Well, I'm from Texas. Laura and I are still together."

i'm not saying all wars need increased taxes but he keeps talking about increasing spending to so many areas, would you REALLY be surprised if taxes were raised?

Horde King,
I'm starting to get a little tired of your left wing tirades against out president- after all- we are at war and should be supporting our government- not demeaning it anytine we feel like it!
At least, I can say that I an an American with a capital A!!!

I have to disagree Reeshy, there is nothing wrong with criticizing our president. He's not doing awfully but he doesn't deserve a 90% approval rating for what he's done. One of the good things about being an American is being able to speak out against a president even during times of war. Blind following is one of the most dangerous things we can do.

War? I still don't see it. Who are we at war with? Does it really count as war if your side has almost no casualties and uses another country's army to do your dirty work? And if you're fighting a faceless enemy?
I think there needs to be another name for it. How about, Crusades II?

I agree with your post only in that we need to truly deal with the situation, yet we won't. Your comments are ludicrous!

Not one of your points are worthy of comment! If you truly think the US is involved due to religion you are a fool. Also, if you think the US's reaction isn't warranted, you are wrong on so many levels. Unless you believe, as I do, that we need to do more and end this PC shit "evil doers" and "the bad guys"! How about calling them what they are, MUSLIM FASCISTS who deserve much more of our military's offerings. This war could be labeled a crusade only if you look at it from their side of the coin. TCurrently the US has more Muslims then any other religion you ignorant prick. So I pose this question to you, "What religious gains do the Allied Forces hope to attain in this War?" Also, "Do you think we should have just stated we were upset with the actions of the people they harbored, not acting on the death of 4000 people of which many on the board have been touched personally?" Perhaps we should have given them a "time-out"?

okay here goes.
the war started on 9/11, and at last check our casulties are listed at 4000+, with the majority being civilians. so don't give me that shit. They started it, we are going to finish it. these are not humans, these are dogs who know nothing but ignorance at war, and we cannot stop until they are all dead, i don't care how we do it. Secondly, I'm glad Ikeaboy posted this, this board is for all opinions and all ideas, and i thought it was cool of him to do so. so reeshy if you don't think this thread is for you don't read it, it was clearly marked as to what it was. also, just because we second guess what our leaders are doing does not mean we are not loyal americans. I love my country now more than ever, but if i think Bush is doing something wrong I will say it. It's my opinion and that is what this country stands for, being free. so if you don't want to get into political talk or don't want to hear other opinions then stay off the thread, but if you can voice yourself in an intelligent manner go right ahead, and expect an answer right back in return.

How about calling them what they are, MUSLIM FASCISTS
No, afghanistan is not a fascist state; it is a theocracy (where the religious leaders control the government as well, with no separation of church and state)
Pardon my bitterness, but America is much closer to a form of Fascism, where the government controls the major businesses.
Think about this: the bushes and the chaneys all made their fortunes from oil. there policies couldn't favor the big companies more. Mike Bloomburg, one of the wealthiest men in america, just bought his way into our beloved mayorship.
what separates us from fascism, is that instead of the government controling major companies and resources, those companies control the government. One has to look no further than the Enron scandal to see that (heads of enron confered multiple times with chaney on his energy program, but alas, it could not save them). Enron also donated more money than i can count to the bush campaign. and they are just one example of corporations buying their way into our government. (and don't even get me started on GE . . .)

yes, i did. the purest form of fasicsm is the former. our form is the the latter. our government is a puppet to the whims of big business
