View Full Version : The Da Vinci Hysterectomy

I'm still in AZ.
I'm scheduled for surgery for July 13th.
Ladies, if you have had the Da Vinci method used, please PM me.
If you are interested, I named the tumor Bob, he is the size of a tennis ball, and he's not alone. I'm considering this an abortion, because it's the closest i'll ever be to being pregnant. And I made the surgeon agree, in writing, to refer to the machine as Optimus Prime.
This is the best I can humor this situation. I just paid off my last medical debt, and i'm going right back into medical debt (insurance only covers 90% of everything after my $250 deductable.... 90% is better than nothing...but i'll probably be another 10k in the hole because of the complications they have to fix.)

Jesus, did you dig up an ancient Indian burial ground, turn the bodies over, piss in each one and cover them back up again? You've had a long string of bad luck you've told us about in the past few years.
Good luck, sorry to hear of yet another dilemma. At least you won't have brown people to worry about in AZ. :innocent:

I have a autoimmune disorder. This surgery will solve and fix 80% of my major issues. From there, it should finally be smooth sailing. I hope.
um, no defacing of indian burial grounds, but part of my family ran from the Nazi's, part of my family were Nazi's, and part of my family were racist guidos. Take your pick.

I just did the run around with my insurance and doctor. Since the hospital stay is 23 hours, meaning less than 24, it's considered outpatient, so no $250 copay (yay!). I do have a out of pocket max, $2000. I just found that out. So, this will be bearable!

there is a message board for hysterectomy patients pre and post op (and i think there are a few doctors on there too) that you might want to check out. the board rules seem pretty strict, but it might have some good information and support groups. i ran across it while using StumbleUpon:
http://www.hystersisters.com/
it was very pink and flowery, but, again the board seems pretty legit and may help you out a little more than us insensitive pricks :o who knows? you already may be a member
i dont really know you all that well, but i still wish you the best of luck and health.
edit: here is a link that describes the procedure:

Well yea, I guess having 80% of your problems possibly solved with one surgical procedure is worth it, no matter what kins of procedure it is.
Best of luck, seriously.

You are a fucking idiot.
It's fuckin cocksuckers like this that are still allowed to post on this board that makes me wonder why any of you still bother with this place.
Dude! you are an idiot and this is not the time nor place to be a dick.
Be well Skelly.

In Dude's defense (and I can't believe I'm doing this), I think he was only trying to make a funny in order to give Skelly a laugh.
HOWEVER, he's been around here long enough to know that isn't the forum for that. Then again, I guess I'm kinda guilty of the same thing too.

Good luck and be well.

you're my new favorite.
I don't mind the humor, i'm trying to humor having my babymaker aborted the best I can. I more nervous/scared about the surgery. I'm considered high-risk, so getting through the surgery is big-step #1, healing correctly and not having my body attack the newly vacated area will be big-step #2. Meaning, back on steriods I go, and back to chubby-fat-ass syndrome. Size 7 = ohhhh, sessy skelly, running around in a bikini, ordering too much shit from victoria secrets. size 10 = MAN MAH BOOBS LOOK FANTASTIC, LOOKIE LOOKIE LOOKIE (please don'tlookatmyasspleasedon'tlookatmyass).
Oh well, There's going to be a 'bye bye babymaker' party, and in order to gain admission, you need to decorate a tampon (not used) and turn it in. I have never heard so many guys squee.
Skellington, best of luck on your recovery. Those DiVinci robots are so amazingly awesome & safe for surgeries that it's ridiculous. It's good to know you've got that type of technology keeping you healthy.
