I was thinking this looked crappy and then I heard that it was directed by the guy that did Cube, and Guillermo del Toro was doing press for it. So now maybe I'll go.

not bad...the story takes a few interesting turns. It's more a humanist drama than an all out thrill ride.

She's definitely near the top of the Oddly Hot list.

She was in some movie called " No Such Thing " or something to that effect where she was banging a reptile guy ( played by the dude from Thinner ).
It's been on cable a few times and I've yet to see it from start to finish but I hope to do so.

Granted I haven't read the synopsis of the film yet but to me it looks like I saw this movie when it was called " Species ".

It's a good film; watch the whole thing.

The description made it sound like a foreign film ( Finish, Swedish or some such -ish ) but I recognized a lot of the actors/actresses.

If you're still talking about No Such Thing, I think it was Canadian, and a large part of it was filmed in Iceland, or maybe part of Canada that looks like Iceland.

I was watching it on Flix this morning....oddly unwatchable for such an interesting premise.

71% positive on Rotten Tomatoes. I think I might check this out tonight. Adrien Brody usually makes pretty good choices and this looks like a fun summer movie.

There are a few things that both attract and repulse me about this idea for a movie. Part of me find the girl attractive in some odd way, but the other part of me is sickened by the idea of her for other reasons. I guess I would need to see more, but I generally dislike wide set eyes in any creature. She kind of reminds me of Belladonna though.

..with some very ..uhh... disturbing scenes of a sexual nature. But the special effects are great, and for once in a LONNNNNGGG while , NOT a remake or sequel.Sorry its not doing better. This means more of the same old crap for the next few years.

No kidding. I got a kick out of the audience's reaction when I saw it. Everyone couldn't help but laugh at how over-the-top some of it was. But it was entertaining and well acted, if a little predictable.
Boxofficemojo has it at #8 so far. So it looks to be a huge flop.
