A bill in Uganda that would have made homosexuality punishable by death was given a serious setback this week. First proposed in Oct. 2009, the bill would have increased the penalties for taking part in homosexual activities or being HIV positive to death in some cases. The content of bill was inspired by the teachings of American evangelical Christians who claimed homosexuality was threatening the moral fiber of Uganda.

The Evangelical Christians are fighting the gays over there, so they don't have to fight them here.
