I always really admired how they handled Mr. Hoopers death. They didn't shy away from it or anything. They addressed it and that just seemed like a really good thing to do. Showing death to children, but also helping all the parents with the idea of death too.

They backed off of it one time. I remember seeing some show about Sesame Street, and it showed a piece they had done on death saying that Snuffleupagus's mom had died (or something). They tested it in front of some kids, and they were so upset, they didn't air it.
