Super mario 3 Tool assisted speed run

Does any watch TAS videos? i recently discovered them and some of them are fucking fun to watch. Basically a hacker takes apart an old game IE super mario 3 and inputs the controls frame by frame. Sounds wierd right? The object of the videos isn't to BEAT the game(thats been done over and over) the object of these videos is either 1.speed or 2.being imaginative and flashy and hell. i'm more interested in the second. Check out this super mario 3 video, especially the last 5 mins or so. It would be impossible for a human being to play like this.

My friend told me about this small community of geeks and nerds that are devoted to this thing called tool assisted speedruns (TASvideos.org). If you like old school video games then you got to see some of the shit they do here. Basically these guys take apart these games and put the controller inputs in frame by frame. The point of these videos isn't to try to "cheat" to beat the game, it's to either beat it as fast as inhumanly possible or to be as fancy as possible(which is what i like to see). Check this introductory video out to see some of the insane shit they pull off for some of the best old games.
