I'm a big fan of Dracula. First he had style. Second, he was very popular with the ladies. two unique traits among monsters.

As for the actors that played him, Lee was better than Lugosi.

Growing up, it was the Wolfman. Nowadays, it's Dracula. Vamps are cooler, anyway.

And Lee was a better Dracula. The Hammer films kick ass.

Hannibal Lechter in the first film...

It shows how a true human being can truly be horrorful...

Remember Jeffrey Dahmer, he drilled a hole into a live persons head and poured acid into it attempting to create a zombie... He also ate human flesh...

by first 'hannibal' do you mean Brian Cox in Manhunter or Hopkins in Silence? and I dont consider starwars a horror movie. Not that it should matter. God, I AM lame.

I always kind of liked The Tall Man from Phantasm. Those little silver balls were weird.

I gotta say the original Alien from "Alien (1979)". You never really got a good look at the creature throughout the movie, yet he scared the bejesis out of me when you see another person go down...
