Inserting A PDF Into A Word Document

I'm trying to paste a PDF file, which is saved on my computer, inside a Word document that's going to be sent to others and when it displays the icon it names it the path to the file.

D:\Applications\PDF File

Is there a way for me to keep just the name of the file and not the path ?

I've checked all the right click options and none of them allow you to rename it.

Help is greatly appreciated as always.

If you're going to send this out to people, they aren't going to be able to access your hard drive. I'd recommend finding a place to host your pdf, then just put the URL in your Word doc.

If you have Illustrator or In Design, pull the pdf in, re save it as a jpeg.

that was my first thought

everytime i paste a pdf, the whole file appears as an image ... are you inserting it via the hotlink options?

Inserting as follows :

Insert > Object > Create From File > Browse > { Find File } > Insert > Display As Icon > OK

I've sent it to people and they have been able to open it.

It's not saved like a hyperlink.

The only issue is the name that's displayed on the icon in the file.

Using Word 2002 ( yes, we're a little behind the times here in a Fortune 50/$4 Billion a year company ).
