I mentioned this in a previous thread, but the most famous grad from my High School (Lynbrook High School on Long Island) was the one and only (original) Captain Kangaroo.
Anyone famous graduated (or drop out) from your High School?

Also, Robert Oliveri from "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" and "Edward Scissorhands" went to my grade school.

Bobby Czyz - He was a boxer in the 80's and 90's He was the champ for a while. I think he still does commentary for HBO fights once in a while
Fred Strickland - Captain of the Perdue football team in the late 80's. He played in the NFL for like 10 years, Rams, Vikes, Cowboys
Eric Schubert - Placekicker for the Giants for like one year. He kicked like 5 FG's in one game, which I think is still a record. The cool part was not only was he a Lakeland Grad, he was also a teacher at the school when he got his big break.
Scott Gurney - male model and indie movie actor, he's got a starring role in a new movie called "Fluffer". I don't think it's out yet. He was also on Married with Children and a couple of other WB type shows.
Hey Funkman.... the pitcher was TONY Banks. He actually pitched for the Yankees too.

He was in a YooHoo commercial. He was also a voice of a Dinosaur in one of those cartoon movies back in the day. Joey was a main character on Ghost Writer (I think it was on Nick). Smithtown does not exactly produce stars.

My brother, Sheepy.
He graduated from our High School this year. :)
Other than that, I heard one of our alumni composed some theme music for a National Geographic Explorer program, but nothing big.
And 2 of the guys I went through school with had their names published in the New York Times last September because they died in the World Trade Center.
But that's not fame, it's infamy.
Dammit. I can name more famous people who went to my college but that's easier, isn't it?

My High School [Bridgewater-Raritan High School East in Somerset County, NJ; it's fucking closed. How lame is that for Nostalgia?] was a wash-out for talent. No one comes to mind.
I struck GOLD in the 4th grade however when I sat next to and became friends with the new kid Larry Blume, who Mom came in and read to us one day; it was Friggin Judy Blume. We didn't even know she was about the most famous kids author Ever; we were friggin 4th graders; its was just Larry's Mom coming in to read. But we got read to by Judy Blume. It rocked.

I still remember him playing Guitar in the School Band where he was just head and shoulders above the rest. We also had B-Movie Cinemax Skin Queen NSFW Beverly Lynne (http://www.beverlylynne.com/) NSFW. Our school slogan was something like Pennridge Proud. GO TEAM!
I hope soon to be on the short list of Pennridge Celebrities.

Is there some place I can check, like some online database someone with too much time on their hands compiled, that has where certian celebs went to high school.

I'm guessing most of you just heard the buzz around your halls or picked up on where people went to school by word of mouth or hearing them talk. There was nothing like that in my school, that's why I guess no one even remotely famous came from here.

My high school is such a shithole. The only guy I could come up with is Gary Portnoy...never heard of him??? That's because the most famous person from my high school is the guy who wrote the theme song to the TV show Cheers... pathetic...
Also, I forgot because I don't watch this show.
