Sure there's plenty of better cookies out there, but I do think the windmill cookie deserves a little overdue credit and appreciation for being a quite tasty cookie. They can be found in almost any dollar store on the planet and are quite satisfying little treats enrobed in their almondy goodness, especially when pared with a tall ice cold glass of milk.

Occasionally, I drive about an hour north of my house to The Holland American Bakery in Sussex County, NJ.
The place is SO fucking good. Great baked goods. I suggest anyone in the area check them out.
But to the point of the thread, they sell those windmill cookies, they call them Speculaas. It's Dutch for...something. Who cares whatever the fuck it means. They're SO good!
