As Chmn of the powerful Ways and means committee. There goes the line that only the GOP are in bed with corporate interests. After the Duke Cunningham and Mark Foley incidents, Queen Nancy was going to run the most eithical congress ever and drain the swamp. Its still business as usual on the hill

Tony Weiner seems to think so, from that tirade last week when he linked them to the Insurance companies. A lot of Dems have been bankrolled too.
New York Rep. Charles Rangel temporarily stepped aside as chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee Wednesday

Im saying its not limited to the GOP. Look at how much wall st is cozy with Schumer. Obama's relationship with Goldman Sachs etc. Many seem to think its only the repubs taking corporate cash

Thanks for enlightening us with your fair and balanced reporting.
Corporations have no political agenda other than profit. Corporations have too much power. But, that is paranoia talking.
Maybe if you focused on your side, right wing/conservative/whatever you want to call it, people would take your criticism seriously and not as just a biased attack.
I am always glad when a democrat is punished for wrong doing.
I hope that Rangel gives up the post on a permanent basis. I have nothing against the man, but there need to be consequences regardless of party.

Your pattern is sadly predictable.
Rant and rave about democrats destroying the country. When called out, you respond with, "I don't like McCain, Bush, Graham, Crist, etc."
DEMOCRATS ARE SATAN'S SPAWN. DEMOCRATS EAT BABIES. DEMOCRATS HATE AMERICAN CITIZENS, ESPECIALLY MIDDLE CLASS WHITE MALES.

"Make no mistake about it: Every. Single. Republican. I. Have. Ever. Met. In my entire life is a wholly owned subsidiary of the insurance industry."
That's what Weiner said. But according to you:

You constantly do this. You create a debate, then argue with a fictional side that has outrageous that you can easily retort.
Weiner did not say the GOP is the only branch in bed with corporate interests. He said He believes every republican is a wholly owned subsidiary of the insurance industry.

From July 21 2009 The Washington Post referencing the Health care Lobby...
The sector gave nearly $170 million to federal lawmakers in 2007 and 2008, with 54 percent going to Democrats, according to data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks money in politics. The shift in parties was even more pronounced during the first three months of this year, when Democrats collected 60 percent of the $5.4 million donated by health-care companies and their employees, the data show.
Full article here (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/20/AR2009072003363.html)...after I read it I felt like I needed to take a bath.
Sorry to debunk the myth of the Insurance Lobby owning the Republicans. It seems that this is not consistent with the false narrative that has been portrayed.

More research may be necessary. Enjoy doing it.
But, the "health care sector" is not the same as the "insurance industry."
Again. It is not a newsflash that all, ALL, politicians are bought by corporate money.

Could you be a little more smug? So when it Democrats on the take it's accepted because EVERYONE is doing it.

I know democrats are bought and sold by corporations.
I am merely disagreeing that the article cited shows that the insurance lobby gave more to democrats.
Maybe they did, I wouldn't be surprised, but that is not what the article says.
Oh no. November 2010, everything will change.

The notion that Blinky was/is going to run the most honest and ethical Congress in history is unimaginably delusional. Seven years of, "...not knowing" about his numerous and plentiful tax omissions. It seems there was accusation after accusation with this clown of an elected official. The Chairman of the committee that writes tax law seemingly devoid of what his personal responsibility to the title really meant. And again, per usual; the Clintonian approach to apologizing. Its never a problem until you get caught, right Charlie ?

when did cartoons
become 'journalism'?
if that's where you get your info
no wonder your views are cartoonish
and yes, beautiful people do
have better morals, generally
people and life treat them well
from day 1
so they do not have to be
continually 'on the take'
ugly people have to work harder
to survive, and often skirt the rules
you know that, from experience

The same picture was used by cbs' 6pm news.
I would argue that the beautiful people are used to living by their rules, getting away with breaking rules. It would be an interesting study: comparing looks of those arrested and those imprisoned. See if there is a disparity.

I agree with you on the notion that good looking people get over and ugly folk get the shaft. As far as imprisoned that's a stretch.
But in principle of that line of thought I agree with you.

I don't think it's a hard line rule. But, in the same respect that CEOs and Presidents are usually taller good looking men.
I wonder if there is a measurable effect related to looks and a juror finding a person guilty.
I don't think it's a stretch.
