Plans fell through to go to Phoenix. So I'm going to Orlando instead next weekend.

So what's stuff is there to do over there aside from the Theme parks?

There's a Chocolate festival going on next weekend. Anyone ever been to it?

The Braves and another pro team have spring training games going on too there that I might check out.

Still trying to get tix to the Magic vs. Lakers if I can.


Going to be in Orlando Fri to Tues. 5th to the 9th. Anything going on during this time.

There are a bunch of Clubs/Bars in downtown Orlando which is pretty far away from the tourist spots. There is lots of things to do on City Walk in Universal. There is Wekiwa Springs which is a cool park a few towns away from Orlando (maybe 30 min drive)

I agree and disagree. I live in Tampa and work in Orlando. Orlando is cool in that downtown comes alive after dark unlike any other city in Florida, including Miami. Downtown Miami, like most cities in Florida; is a ghost town after work. You could make a case that Las Olas in FTL being fun after dark, but is it really? The ' FUN ' in most cities in Florida is not downtown where, 'all the big building are' but rather another part of town, like South Beach or South Tampa on Howard, The beach in FTL, etc... Jacksonville sadly, has no real fun and cool place to go in terms of what people not from Florida are looking for. The beach is a dump and you might not come home if you venture downtown after dark. 'West-Side, best side!!!!' ---Bullshit, it is!!!
Downtown Orlando is loaded with beautiful women and tons of bars----what else do you need really? Lake Eola on any night has tons of women running and then cleaning up nicely to hit all the bars. If you 'hate' that like you say, you are either scared of women, gay or ashamed of how you look or interact with people. Its cool, Brother I get it. But, dust off your best shirt and get out there. Its fun.
You are dead on on Wekiva though. About 12 years ago, I had a hallucinogenic experience while navigating the springs in a canoe. What a time. And, I did all this with a buddy and two girls we met downtown......put down the remote and go meet a hot and crazy Florida girl. They are everywhere and easy to meet and talk to.
I'll also agree on the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. Very fun place. But, don't miss the beach either. Tampa is fun if you like going outside. The best fishing in the state for inshore flats fishing...just a lot of fun. A lot more laid back than Orlando and just a nice place to be.
Florida is fun, if you get away from the tourist attractions. (Fort Desoto might be my favorite part of the State. Its heaven on Earth)

theres bars galore in Orlando to go party at....Ember, Cricketeer Arm's, Casey's on Central are just to name a few.....you can go to that place where Tom Hanks played the big piano with his feet in "Big".....um....you got Ripleys Believe it or Not. That upside down building that looks like its about to fall over.....you got Universal City Walk with a ton of shit in there to do. Nickelodeon studios and the Hard Rock Cafe are around the same place.....NASCAR Cafe is there.


Theres a ton to do....look at underage girls walking around the streets in bikini's...but thats not gonna happen now cause its still cold.

Whatever you do, don't go to the Cowboy's on Orange Blossom Trail.
It is located oddly close to the hood and those fuckers won't hesitate to sell you soap and tell you it's crack.

I would recommend findin' and wrasslin' a gator.

My main problem is I live in Lake County so it's about 35 mins from Orlando, there is absolutely nothing to do in Lake County. If I feel like doing something I have to drive, I'm not used to that being from NY where I could just walk out the door and there would be things to do.
