is it just cause technically we are at war? What is the idea behind flyovers. it just seems like a waste of time and money.

The last time I was entertained by an attempted flyover was the bowe holyfield fight

The stealth flyover at the MLB all star game was pretty impressive. Made me proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free.

It's not just at times of war. And is a good way for our air support to stay battle ready.

Officially: It's part of recruitment. They are usually training exercises anyway from local air force bases, so it's not really a waste of money. So it's free advertising for the Armed Forces over events where they could get people interested in serving.

I'm always impressed that they can time it to be there at the end of the National Anthem.

every year we go to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the NASCAR races, they do the flyovers. I still enjoy the fuck outta them....nothing like seeing two or three F-16's screaming over us and then doing a 90 degree bank to the sky and speed outta sight. Fucking Incredible.

Miller was reported missing on September 22, 2002. On March 9, 2003, a group of hunters bushwhacking through the woods on the Kenai Peninsula found a decomposing body identified as that of James Miller. Police said he had chosen the remote Resurrection Pass Trail in Chugach National Forest, veering deep off-trail to a spot that might not have been discovered for years, if ever. Miller had hanged himself from a tree, and the death was ruled a suicide
