I too think it's a great film even though people say it goes down hil after bootcamp. While I do feel that's true I still think the rest of it is fantastic.

nice choice but Im gunna have to say I liked Lolita better. Its more fun to watch an old man obsess over a teenage girl in the middle of the night then to watch those poor guys go through that crap.

as far as Kubrick go while I loved both of the above mentioned films (Kubrick is my favorite filmmaker ever) I have to go with A Clockwork Orange anytime.

I like A Clockwork Orange myself...Full Metal Jacket is good too.
What is your major malfunction, Professor Humbert Humbert?
Vincent D'Onofrio is one sick f** in that film. Hey Vixen which version of Lolita did you like the old one or the one done for cable?? I prefered the old one myself by Stanley Kubrick.

the problem, at least to me, with the cable Lolita is that Jeremy Irons gave a great performance for someone other than Humbert Humbert. Nabakov's Humbert had a bit of a comic quality about him which was lost in Irons performance which might have been the intent I don't know.
Eitherway the book surpasses either version.

Hey Ikea, I have to agree with you. The book was a hell of alot better than the movie. That's the case with most movie adaptations of books. Books are always better than the movie.

Clockwork is much better than Full Metal Jacket. I don't know I normally can only watch half of a Kubrik film.
2001 - turn it off after the monkeys.
Full Metal Jacket - turn it off after the camera gets stolen when they are in Nam.
The last one with Cruise turn it off after the scene in the mansion.

Your right!
I rather have Muppets than f'n Jar Jar Binks any day!
By the way, did you know there nipples in "Jedi". It's the Green Dancer in Jabba's Hut who fell in his Trap. She has a Fishnet top. Look closely.
Anyway, my favorite movie is Braveheart. "MY ISLAND!!!"
Now can you Dig that!!!
Sucka!!!
