what you have was never meant for games, desktop, dual monitors thats it.
ex. Geforce/Radeon 7600 - the first digit is generation, ie direct x 9 10 or 11,
the second digit tells you what it is.
0,1, or 2 just for internet, office, etc like your 3200, low qual for the latest games.
5 or 6 mean midrange, these are value cards, meant for medium quality of the latest games.
8 or 9 usually mean expensive card for maxed out graphics.
for about 100 - 150 bucks you should be able to find something to lay games on high depending how od your cpu is:

Just made it to the collectors base on the other side of the omega 4 relay.
To anyone who made this far how much of the game is left?

well their model numbers will never run the same.
lets sat ATI has 4870 series.
their 4870 will be combarable to a nvidia 260 or something around there.
I have a ATI radeon 4850 card and i play far cry 2 and fallout 3 on a 1920x1080 resoltution just fine.
this is what i really want now.
but maybe my next card will only be a 4870.
hopefully 4870x2

Just get the 5870 and be done with it. Best $400.00 I've spent. It's a beast.

Can we post everything about Mass Effect 2 here?
I'm playing it on an xbox 360 and it is one of the greatest games I've ever played. I think the story and characters are unparalleled. The amount of content is incredible. I thought the first one was an amazing game but Bioware has out done themselves this time around.
I have my full team together except for one mysterious spot which I hope is filled before the end of the game. I'm suppose to continue the story but I'm afraid that its going to end before I get to do everything I want to do so I've been travelling to different systems to find hidden missions.

Should've waited. The new Nvidia card is just around the corner and it's going to dominate anything ATI has.

That's the end-game. However, you can continue the game after the credits roll, if you have some unfinished quests.
Hint: Make sure to only select fully-loyal team members when prompted, if you want them to survive.

This card as it is will handle anything thrown at it for a few years and it's DX11 ready.
If you waited for everything "about to come out" you'd never buy anything. Nvidia will release there new card, then ATI will announce a new model that beats that one. Rinse and repeat. You'll be waiting around forever if you technology chase.

Nah, it's just better to future proof with stuff that will actually be future proof.
1. Your video card is already 5 months old.
2. Has 500 megs less memory.
3. Less Bus width for the memory.
4. Far fewer transistors etc.
Now, I'm not saying ATI is bad. In fact, your card is well worth the 400$, and will probably be pretty good for the next year, year and a half, with the top games. And since the PC gaming market is becoming more of a console port market, it should be plenty for most games for some time to come. However, if you want better value for your 400$ (it might be 500$ on release date, but the price point is essentially the same - if you can afford a 400$ upgrade to your system, you can probably manage 500$), then I would suggest you return that card, wait a month (hopefully a month) and get yourself the GTX480.
I'm not a technology chaser, but I do plan my PC upgrades around new technology, that way, I don't have to buy a new PC every few years and most last me 4+ years.

The first time Mordin died for no reason, just a random thing, the second time, I reloaded and did it again - everyone got back.

Just google GTX 480, GF100 or Geforce 400. They are all the same thing with different code/market names.
Essentially, there isn't much info, since Nvidia wants to dump the review days before release, but what is there is pretty encouraging. 1.5 gb or GDDR5, DX11, 512 cores (doesn't say much as the design principles between Nvidia and ATI are different, but it's a stat), etc.
Fundamentally, I'll admit, it's mostly hype. However, ATI hasn't been able to beat a new-gen Nvidia gfx card since the early parts of the last decade.

That should help you decipher things.
Take note that Nvidia stopped with the 7 < 8 < 9 thing and reset all their numbers back to 200.
