I've been asking a lot of questions lately, but I need more help.

In my basement, I have a Samsung DLP HD tv from 2003. i used to use a cable converter box down there, but got rid of it to save money. I not hook the cable directly to the tv, but the tv does not have an internal HD tuner so I can't access HD channels for the local broadcast stations.

I've tried two ditigal converter boxes (one from Best Buy and the other from Radio Shack) and neither worked because they were designed to be used with antennas and not cable from a cable company.

Anyone have any suggestions (I don't need a DVR)? I asked Samsung. Their recommendation was to use an HD Tuner and that they don't recommend such tuners.
