Hmmm. I wonder if that is why all the sea lions left pier 39 last month and headed south. They are such smart animals.

That's an excellent question. The animals always know when something is up well before we do.

How did I miss this? I live right outside San Francisco. I knew the sea lions left, but I didn't feel an earthquake. Gonna have to do a little research.....

If I lived there I'd be more worried about them managing to keep the Bay Bridge open.

Oh no he di'nt!
I've cared for, fed, and given medicine to sea lions many times, and they never smelled bad. They were sea lions in aquariums though. They have their teeth bushed and get groomed regularly. If you lived out in the wild on a dock and never got groomed you wouldn't smell that great either.
 sea lions

generally no. if its small, thats good, cause it releases tension without causing alot of damage. the big ones come when nothing has happened for awhile. there could still be one, but generally its a good thing when it lets a little loose at a time

A different 6.5 earthquake happened a little while ago (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100110/ap_on_re_us/us_california_coast_earthquake), off the coast of northern California.
Hopefully no one got hurt and this doesnt aggravate the Yellowstone super volcano!
