Real Estate Appraisers

Does anybody here do this for a living ?

I currently have my Real Estate Sales license and I was thinking about taking the Appraisers' certification as well but there seems to be a lot of non-classroom hours needed.

I'm not sure I wanna work for somebody for free for 500+ hours.

Anybody have any experience here ?

I can't leave a fulltime job where I'm grossly underpaid.

I have my certification. Not too much classroom work.

I got it right as the market slowed down. Go into a different business instead.
