Tonight, Im going to a Spanish (European Spanish) restaurant and the place has some amazing Sangria so Im told. Is Sangria the same concept as wine ie White goes with poultry/seafood, red with beef, veal, pork. Any advice?

I guess it would be, but I usually treat sangria more of a cocktail than a dinner accessory, like wine. If it tastes good, just drink it.

Agreed. It's too fruity to have with dinner, but will give you a nice buzz beforehand.

I'd rather eat the fruit then drink the sangria. Damn that sounds gay!

I like to drink Sangria by itself with no food, however, we did order it at Pio Pio in nyc...we had ceviche and some chicken and avocado salad.
